Vanessa, Elinor, and Margaret are on a vacation to a swank hotel, thanks to Vanessa’s tampering with some papers (the company she works at also controls the hotel). They have a bunch of obstacles to overcome, but eventually they get to the pool, thanks to hottie Luciano. Something about Luciano intrigues Margaret and they have quite a talk, at least until Margaret falls asleep in the middle of it. Too bad he’s actually a sniper gunning for Mr. Dawn. Time for some sniper battling!
This episode was just as confusing as the last ones, but it seems we may get some answers next time! I was impressed at how sneaky all of the women were in this episode. Even Margaret gets Luciano to carry her all the way down a mountain. I bet Rimerda thinks she’s so awesome now that she has bedded Mr. Dawn and actually hit someone with a bullet. I want to know what the deal is with those creepy kids, because I can’t figure out how they tie in to the story.

Meg is trapped on the train with Wong’s brother Liang, and it turns out that Wong is the subject of some mutation experiments. The train is attacked by other enemy commandos who want the test results, and Wong breaks out in his new form. There’s some brotherly misunderstanding, and Jo shows up to rescue Meg. Fried rice is an important part of this episode.
The talking mutant was pretty great. I also enjoyed the news stories at the end!

Jiraiya absolutely gets no respect
After spending like 1 minute introducing himself, he just gets blank stares from Naruto, a chuckle from sharkface, and no reaction from Itachi
Luckily for Naruto, Jiraiya comes back just in time to save him from the wrath of Kisame’s chakra eating blade, and he was prepping to take care of Itachi and Kisame when Sasuke’s pride and anger got the best of him. Telling everyone that this was “his fight”, Sasuke charges at Itachi, floppy arms and all, to take down his evil brother. Unfortunately for Sasuke, if he were a Final Fantasy XI character, he would be at level 12, and Itachi is at level 50. Thus, Itachi swats away Sasuke rather easily and puts Sasuke under Tsukuyomi Sharingan to turn Sasuke’s brain into mush.
Watching in disbelief, Naruto attempts to attach Itachi, and Kisame almost turns Naruto into sushi when Jiraiya performs one of the more impressive jutsu seen in the series, Ninpou Gamaguchi Shibari, which turns the walls into the lining of a frog stomach. Jiraiya seemingly had both Kisame and Itachi caught for good when Itachi releases one more ace up his sleeve, Amaterasu, to escape the stomach walls.
Although not as action packed as I would have liked due to the slow torture of Sasuke, it was good to see that Jiraiya live up to his name of being one of the great Sennins and perform some amazing jutsus. One thing that puzzled me though…what happened to the girl?? Guess the frog’s stomach lining must have melted her away

Meg and Jo are at it again, this time stalking some maniacal Wong fellow in an alley. At the last second, some guys from Hinode Pharmaceuticals (their jingle is kinda catchy) kidnap him and take him back to an abandoned warehouse. They also stuff him into a tube and do some weird experiments on him. Jo and Meg follow them, but they are not the only ones after Wong. Furthermore, Jo isn’t able to keep up with the train that Meg stows away on, and they are separated again. Back at base, Kyouhei tries to quit his job, but is too much of a wuss. A few choice words from Sei are all it takes to ensure that Amy will gain about 300 pounds by the end of the show.
Not too much happens in this episode, although it does shed light on why Jo brings Meg everywhere. After all, reconnaissance is pretty boring, but with Meg chatting the whole time, I imagine that time really flies. Jo demonstrates some nifty gun tricks, which make her worthy of wearing her chaps-shorts. I should also mention that the fansubbing by Lunar is totally awesome for this series.

It’s finally time for the practice game against Narita Central, and no one is taking the game more seriously than Fujiwara. He’s a little too amped, however, and jerk-coach (aka Shimojou) turns Fujiwara’s emotions into a real weakness for the Mizuho squad. Aikawa tries to get the team to take zah sree pointah flom zah cornah to break the zone defense that Narita plays, but Fujiwara is more interested in challenging jerk-coach’s “basketball of height”. Can Mutsumi slap some sense into him before it’s too late?
I really enjoyed watching jerk-coach’s crazy play-calling from the sidelines. He must drive his point guard nuts with all those wacky hand signs. There was a lot of great basketball engrish in this episode.
