I’m going to leave off the shows that ended recently since you already know which ones I liked (rankings tend to be consistent throughout the season). So far this season has mostly been silly, but Macross is keeping me grounded… sorta. I’ve had a hard time deciding which shows to pick up, but [...]
This month has been emotional and exciting, with several quality series going into the final stretch. The next few weeks could see some really incredible finishes, so I’m really pumped. The only show I’ve really disliked recently is Spice and Wolf, and I don’t know if I would watch another season. Dragonaut [...]
I’ve caught up on True Tears, and the epic dorama of True Tears delights me as much as KimiNozo did. I also made a point to check out this crazy combat butler manga, and to me Hayate no Gotoku! feels kinda like a cross between Mahou Sensei Negima and He Is My Master. [...]
I need to catch up on some True Tears, and I think I might start posting about that series. I was holding the spot for Hatenkou Yuugi, but so far that show has completely underwhelmed me.
Top Five This Month:
Shakugan no Shana Second: It looks like Hecate, it smells like Hecate, and it [...]
I was out of town for a week, and with all the holiday craziness, I’ve fallen a bit behind on several series. I think I may only carry Bamboo Blade and Shakugan no Shana into next season. I heard Shugo Chara is slated for 51 episodes, and I am scared of commitment. [...]
Of note is that I finally finished up Seirei no Moribito, which was completely awesome. Also finished Portal in one sitting, and came away extremely impressed. In fact, it’s hard to overstate my satisfaction.
Top Picks:
Kimikiss Pure Rouge: It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a solid romance series [...]
Lower expectations can be a great thing sometimes, and a lot of the fall shows have kept me reasonably entertained lately. Seems like there was more unrequited love than usual this month, but perhaps that’s a standard element to flesh out around the 33% mark.
Top Five This Month:
Shakugan no Shana Second: Believe it! [...]
The Fall season hasn’t wowed me, but quite a few of the shows are decent overall. The way things are, I’m not actually sure if I’ll pick up another show to blog, but I don’t want to be left carrying only 1 show (Shana) into the Winter season, since Winter shows have not thrilled [...]
I can’t believe that after this month, all the series I watch/blog will be ending… it’s like being born again! I not sure whether I really want to pick up 5 series from the Fall 2007 season, since that will hobble me for Winter 2007. Also, I’m not completely convinced that there are [...]
I’ve been watching a ton of series lately, and many of them have been good. I think my lineup should hold up pretty well until October or so, when the new season kicks in. Things in my top 5 haven’t changed too much, although there has been a little bit of shifting.
Top Five [...]
While none of the new series in the new season are especially appealing yet, last season’s offerings are still going strong, and some series from the season before that had strong endings. Kabitzin predicted Baccano! would be my “killer app” for the new season; I’ll definitely have to check it out due to his rather [...]
I didn’t watch any Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann this month, so it doesn’t make the list; however, from what I’ve seen and read, it looks like the timeskip is going to be awesome. Meanwhile, I’ve watched a bit of the summer series, but have yet to decide on a series to pick up now [...]
So far most of the series I’m watching are going strong. I even went and marathoned Kekkaishi. Although Yoshimori has a tendency to suddenly become all fugly looking (production value woes), I’ve really been enjoying the story so far. I also marathoned the first 6 episodes of Hitohira. Hitohira is less [...]
