K-*Yawn*
With summer coming to a close, the K-ONERS are back in school doing what they do best: play music have fun! This episode’s weekly dose of TEETH revolve around an upcoming school marathon that Yui is both annoyed and excited for. After giving it much thought, she realized her enthusiasm was a fluke, but Sawako explains that there will be Red Bean Soup to eat after the event.
"Hurry, Girls! You must leap through time to stop the existance of K-ON!!! S3!!!"
"Holy Frikkin K-ON TOOTH Batman, what do the Red Glasses say about their Power Level?" "Hell if I know! I can't even see through this thing!"
Despite the promise of scrump diddly umptious food, Hungry Yui is still not satisfied with the outcome, so she decides to hang a bunch of teru-teru-bozu upside-down in hope of making it rain for the event. Long story short, upside-down teru-teru-bozu do not work and Mio has extremely large tits. The End.
"You take my Happy Meal for the LAST TIME, HAMBURGLAR!!"
Impressions:
This episode was like the Monster Mash; everyone knows the song but will never dance to it… (does that even make sense?). Let me clarify! The beginning was unbearably stale with Sawako’s cosplay suggestion, Mugi’s black jello, and Sawako’s car conversation, but towards the end, it not only picked up the pace but hit us with a full throttle of funnies. What did that have to do with the Monster Mash? With such a great Runner’s High ending, the episode tricked us into thinking it was actually good, but it wasn’t. No. This episode SUCKED was okay.
The ending was probably the only worthy thing to talk about, especially Yui’s rice cake mentality and Mio’s barrel roll finish. I guess you could call it… a running gag. Haah?!? Haaah?!? Cmon people, stick with me!… What else to talk about?… I guess I liked the beginning where Azusa is all cheery, spouting “GAIZ GAIZ WE’RE FINALLY GONNA PLAY OUR INSTRUMENTS!!!” but then Interrupting-Cow-Mugi looks at the poster behind her and says “AND/OR we could ignore instrument playing for another episode and run for a marathon!” Good show Mugi, but you’re still fat.

Judging from the preview, we’ll have a tiny glimpse of Jun-chan (~<3). Can’t wait for Zyl’s impression (or rather, reaction…)
I’m a bit disappointed by this episode. The last few episodes were such blasts, but this one just felt dull.
Mio’s tits are indeed large.
After the past ballin’ episodes, I too was disappointed. I blame it all on Red-Glasses-Girl getting first place (wait, did she? Can’t remember)
Ui had some pretty puffy-pillows as well, but let’s not get into that

Yea, the meh to awesome scale definitely tipped in favor of the former this ep. Seriously, the only great moments were the Mio roll and Mugi’s (adorable) chubby jogging cheeks.
The main thing I took away is that the random fox-girl next to Yui in your first screenshot needs a bigger role . She’s been a background lurker before but needs proper scenes. I’d happily trade Yui, Ritsu and Azusa for her to be in a threesome

There are many random good-looking background characters in K-ON, my favorite being the Brown Baggers. Haven’t seen them in a while, though.

But “K-Yawn” indeed. This episode was nothing to get excited about – and that’s taking into consideration the fact that the entire episode is our girls in gym uniforms, running around. Boobies are best displayed while running. Or jumping.
Change of plan! Zyl is having some internet issues so I’ll take up K-ON 16 again. I’m still busy with school work but I should be free this Saturday. If not, I’ll have my first GATTAI post (ep 16 + 17) whenever ep 17 is out.
