Mesdames et Messieurs of SSAB, Bonsoir.
Hello to all at Sea Slugs! Anime Blog. As you may or may not know, I am one of the new writers here. I am pleased to meet your acquaintance and hope that we will have a wondrous time together, an experience that will be filled with joy and gushing with happiness.
…Actually, screw the formalities; I like it rough ‘n’ dirty. The name’s Hellomotto, and you probably recognize me from my previous username, hellomotto73. That’s not to say that you would know who I am: my posts here and on other sites have been sparse, and I have never been a part of a blog before. I visit some other anime blogs frequently, but Sea Slugs! was always a pleasure, thanks to the site’s lighthearted atmosphere and regular posts. When Kabitzin published a post asking for more writers, I felt that I could contribute to the blog as well as comfortably ensconce in the website as a blogger. By some sheer coincidence and a few emails later, Kabitzin informed me that I had been selected, to which I jubilantly pumped my fist. No, really, I literally fist-pumped and then proceeded to display my mad skills at interpretive dancing.
By joining the team in SSAB, I hope to add a unique viewpoint to some of the airing anime series. In addition, I hope to gain some experience of as a blogger and delve deeper into the medium to which I have dedicated so much time. Most of all, I want to become more involved with the anime community at large. There’s no doubt that it’s nice to watch anime as a solitary activity, but I wanted to communicate with others about my reactions, ideas, and beliefs. I also believe that many people in the community have interesting and important insight, and I hope to spark the interest of individuals online to express them–just as Kabitzin had done to me. (I emphasize the Internet because watching anime has unfortunately become a social stigma, especially at the high school I currently attend.)
In terms of my anime interests, I am open to trying out pretty much anything and everything. I generally try not to discriminate a series based on its genre, the exceptions being hentai, yaoi, and occasionally moe. Admittedly, I am a bit biased towards romance, slice-of-life, and raw action, but I will watch anything that has a nice plot, great character development, and can keep me entertained whilst still being intelligent. If you want to see my ratings and top five, just go to MAL and look. (Yes, I am that lazy…PLEASE FORGIVE ME!)

Pretty much sums up how I'll feel if I am criticized for my laziness. Except I'll also be sucking my thumb.
Up until the spring season starts, I’ll be blogging Hanamaru Kindergarten. There are only two episodes left, but I think that the series is somewhat entertaining and gives insight to an innocence not seen since practically Aria the Animation. And who knows? Maybe I’ll start blogging a series that’s currently airing this season. If anyone has any suggestions on which series I should blog, then feel free to tell me. When the spring season starts, I’ll choose one or two series to blog about.
I’ll be publishing my first (well, technically second) post on the tenth episode of Hanamaru Kindergarten. Until then, I shall be watching anime! By the way, Epi: USA > Canada; it’s common knowledge. XD

And in conclusion, I--*stares*--nevermind, this will suffice.
On a side note: I will be happy to fume with about March Madness and/or their brackets. (*cough* GEORGETOWN *cough*)

About Hellomotto: One of the newer members and [allegedly] the youngest of the sluggies. I like slice-of-life and centralized romantic series, though it's nice to have some focused action. I'm also tortured by Jesus159159159 constantly, kinda like a prolonged hazing...for the rest of my life. |

One of these things does not seem to belong. XD
Well, looking forward to seeing what you have to bring.
Man what show doesn’t have a bit of romance, and raw action. And regarding slice of life, J159 will turn you around.
Yay, I’m looking forward to it. The series is entertaining, and nice to watch. I almost decided not to watch it if it wasn’t for J159. Judging a show on its title and cover was wrong of me, I’ll never do that again!
I guess they do, though I like the romance more centralized (i.e., focused solely on romance). And I’m scared what J159 will do to me…SPARE ME!
Haha yeah, I was a bit skeptical at first whether or not it would be a good series, but it’s been quite entertaining at times.
Thanks melfloraine!
Hello, ‘motto
Welcome Hellomotto, and go Cornell Big Red (way to desecrate the Temple)!
See, we are committed to playing rookies too, and not just veterans
Thanks for the welcome Baka-Raptor and Kabitzin! Cornell rocked the house! I had them winning just ’cause its an Ivy, but to actually win…it was awesome!
Sounds like the Motorola tagline from years ago.
It certainly is.
Pleeeaaaseee tell me you’re still a freshmen!!YES!!! You are now the youngest Slug on the team~! I’m looking forward to your posts! (I was quite pleased with the sample Hanamaru Kindergarten you have sent!)Also, love me dem stanky-uppah-lips in the Simoun pic!

Really? That’s
quite scaryreally cool! Wait…does that mean I have to be your online slave?Well played, my man, well played.
IT MEANS YOU’RE THE NEW GOPHER-BOY!!!
AAAAAHHH SOMEONE HELP ME!!!
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts!
My bracket is such a mess. It’s like someone took a big, steaming dump on it after the first two days. Yuck.
Thanks! My bracket is all crapped up too. I had Georgetown going to the Elite 8 and Vanderbilt going to the sweet sixteen…WHY MURRAY STATE WHY?! *sobs uncontrollably*
‘Nova today officially took my bracket behind the shed and shot it in the head. The bad karma from winning its game due to god awful officiating came back to haunt Villanova.
I never really had Nova going that far, just ’cause St. Mary’s is in beast mode right now. Of course, that’ll probably end once they go up against Baylor…
Congrats on joining the team! Any chance we’ll see a sample of your interpretive dance?
You know what? Just for you, I shall embarrass myself in front of the camera to no end. XD
welcome welcome I have never heard of you before
Thanks! I’ve never been on a blog before, and I’ve commented about six times at most prior to this post.
So now we have half a dozen Sea Slugs…
Looking forward to seeing your work
Thanks TJ!
YES! i love soley based on romance tooooo..i understand how u feelz there
All the more power to you!
Anyone who starts off their first post with a pic of the Count himself is good in my book
Nice to know that I have a fellow Gankutsuou enthusiast who can share my sentiments, especially from such a prominent blogger.
Welcome, looking forward to seeing your posts -nod- enjoy !
Thanks! Btw nice username.
OMG You’re the guy who said USA was better… and to think I ranked you top 3 of the applicants :x
Welcome aboard!!
Now that we have 6 people, we can finally all dress to AnimeExpo next year as Kabi-tan’s harem. WOO
I’ve always wanted to be apart of a harem. Can I be the tsundere?
Kabitzin = Naru
Epi = Mitsune
J159 = Kaolla
Zyl = Matoko
Halfadeckshort = Mutsumi
Hellomotto = Shinobu
So the harem’s all together now…
Noooo, I hate Naru!
Alright, that’s another thing that we have in common!
Nooo!!! How could you hate Naru, and what happened to keitaro!!
Hi, I’m a first time commenter, and I’ll be looking forward to your posts since our interests seem to overlap. (Heroman, Arakawa Under the Bridge, and Kaichou wa Maid-sama are the titles that stand out for me personally of the spring series, hopefully at least one will get blogged.)
Also, I had nova, temple, and gtown advancing to sweet sixteen with kansas winning it all… so my bracket is officially busted.
Hmmmm, well take a look at the spring preview post and you’ll see what the team thinks!
Pretty much everyone’s bracket is over thanks to Iowa. Even if I do feel happy for them, Kansas losing = my bracket is over.
Welcome and I look forward to your vibrant display of youthful POWAH and intensity!
Welcome! Don’t let J159 push you around just because he’s older than you!
Haha, I shall take your advice into consideration!
Loved how you introduced yourself, and with a name like that, I’m pretty sure I won’t be forgetting you anytime soon.
I look forward to more of the same
Your name sounds familiar. It’s nice to know one of the members… cheers..
