Summary:
Shoulda secured a childhood promise (in writing)
Amazingly, that final jutsu of Danzo’s didn’t kill anyone; even the bridge is still standing. Both Karin and Danzo were dragged out of the blast radius, and Madara takes Danzo’s body back to the Bat Cave… only to find that Danzo crushed Shisui’s eye before dying. We then get a flashback of loli-Karin failing the chuunin exam when she is nearly ganked by a giant bear. I guess Sasuke rescued her and she has been in love with him ever since.

Meanwhile, Naruto wakes up and makes a break for it. Sakura also disappoints yet again when she interrupts the potentially cool fight between Kiba, Akamaru, Rock, and Sai by dropping 3 sleeping gas bombs and running off to find Sasuke. She finds Sasuke about to Chidori Karin, and in typical Sakura fashion interrupts to try to make this a Sakura-centric chapter.
Reaction:
I’m sure Sakura’s supposed offer to join Sasuke against Konoha is a sham, and Sasuke probably knows it. With Karin knocked out, however, I bet Sasuke will just go along with Sakura’s stupid plan since she’s a more versatile healer with better taijutsu abilities to boot. In fact, the only downside is the loss of Karin’s sensor/tracking abilities, but Sasuke deduces most attacks on his own and it’s not like Konoha village will be going anywhere anytime soon.
While it looked at first like Sasuke was going to kill Karin, I doubt it. Sasuke is still a softie at heart. He was probably going to stop her bleeding and then give her some free boob implants.

dont remember her at the exam after she went back to her village that must have been when oro crushed it and she became his loyal jailer
Well he did kill off a few contestants before going into that forest. I’m surprised the author was able to squeeze her in, and I don’t remember anything from the chunin exams anything. I can’t remember them separating for another heaven scroll.
And Sakura, does she really think that plan will really work. She’s probably going to be stabbed the moment Naruto makes an appearance. Wow, I didn’t expect Naruto to get by Yamoto so easily. Is hermit mode that awesome?!…or did Yamoto let him go?
Jailer definitely beats the fate of the Sound ninjas that were used as sacrifices. The giant bear was so random, though.
I figure Naruto was allowed to escape because that Shawshank Redemption stuff should have been fairly loud and obvious.
I can’t help but laugh at Sakura’s plan. I guess she thinks she can stab him in the back after they get down to business or something, but Sasuke will literally see right through it.
She probably has a few more of her lame sleeping gas bombs so that she can ravish Sasuke and then drag him back to Konoha (which they will conveniently be invading).
