Maaya Sakamoto - DIVE
The episode begins with a Dream in Monochrome, and Yuno is naked on an umbrella trying to save it from sinking. After the unsuccessful save, she wakes up and realizes that she is late for school (despite being one block away). While going to school, Yuno accidentally tears off Miyako’s strap, so now she feels jealous that the boys will totally check out Miyako instead of her. Thanks to the power of friendship, a classmate lends her a small sewing pack so they could fix the strap (damn it!), but Yoshinoya-sensei is disgusted by Yuno’s horrible stitching. She decides to call Miyako to her office so she can fix it herself.
"Wait... you're telling me no one watches this show?"
Later in the episode, Yuno loses her sketchbook and goes around the Hidamari apartments asking who stole it. By doing this, she actually helps them remember where they misplaced their belongings. Since Yuno can only bring luck to others and not herself, she decides to visit the school to feel more depressed. There, Yoshinoya-sensei gives her advice on finding porn magazines and the Principal scolds her (btw, his head is shaped like a penis; THAT MEANS YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW!!!). Long story short, Yuno finds her sketchbook under her covers. THE END!
"pst... PSTTT!!! Hey, hey you! Yea, YOU! OVER THERE! You should watch Hidamari Sketch! It's by... umm *reads from notes* SHAFT!!! YEAAA, YOU LIKE THAT, RIGHT?!?! YEAAA LETS WATCH IT!!!"
Impressions
Another excellent episode, and even better than the last! I had almost forgotten how naughty Yoshinoya-sensei can be, and I loved the sewing thread joke, Sae losing her glasses, and Yoshinoya’s encouraging speech. The relaxing pace with the tiny jokes has always been a one-hit combo for this show, and I’m glad that tradition is just as strong in this episode. To completely change the subject, there was also weird caterpillar moments, but I’m too lazy to post pics (ex: it was humping a leaf / checking out the girls’ panties in the lunchroom) (I’m not kidding!).
I was sort of disturbed by the guys/men in this episode. Here we have girls who could pass off as Middle schoolers and then we are shown 20-something-old-guys (who are in the same class) checking out Miyako! Maybe it’s cause we see the Hidamari gang in chibi form way too many times, but it was still very creepy. Also, WTF, THERE ARE GUYS IN THIS SHOW?!?! DROPPED It was surprising! Well, the Principal is also a guy, but I see him more as a pleasure toy. Another part that I’m somewhat annoyed by was another Sae x Natsume scene. I know a lot of fans love her tsun-tsun-ness, but seriously, it’s been two seasons and she’s still all “IT’S NOT LIKE I WANT TO SHARE AN UMBRELLA WITH YOU OR ANYTHING!!! HMPH!!!” She should just accept her feelings like I have.
Expectations are as high as my penis for the new season, so ummm, yea: SPAM!

Yoko Kanno or GTFO- ERRR I mean… DIVE seemed like a better choice since both the OP pic and DIVE’s cover are in monochrome. Also, in Yunagi Loop’s cover, she’s on a guitar/violin/some-other-similar-instrument’s-case boat or something, and we all know that doesn’t make any sense.

Besides the whole random naked Yuno scene, the appearance of male characters in this episode was surprising. I can’t recall ever seeing one before in Hidamari.
Yea the way they acted towards Miyako kinda annoyed me. Miyako is my favorite character of the series but I couldn’t help but feel that it was wrong for those guys to view her like that. She’s mai Waifu!!! They did look a bit older, like they could be their senpais.
Sadly this won’t happen, if Sae and Hiro don’t get together then I guess I’ll give in to the idea.
