I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other color used in an anime series. This one’s by Lires again.

Now, if you want to go after this guy, please do register on that boards and confront him. Just a simple statement of him ripping you off is enough proof to make a dispute against his winning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. This guy must stop profiting from plagiarized works because he already won in a fan art contest twice using this method. Further contests would be pointless if there is a cheater in it.
Wow, thanks for the heads up. He did straight up say what he did… but that is pretty lame. Reminds me of this PA comic.
Entry #2 isn’t even recolored really. He says he took a sketch and colored it. All he did was change the hues and use Lires’ coloring skills. I guess he added a lame background, too. Grrrrr….
I want to contact the GM, but their crappy board doesn’t seem to send the validation email correctly so I can’t register T__T.

I refuse to let the Nazis ruin this for me the way they ruined the swastika.
There was a pink popsicle on Azumanga, but I think it was supposed to look even more phallic than your average blue popsicle.
I wonder if they use blue because it is the most common flavor/color that does not look like a weiner.
Maybe the flavour isn’t just blue but Blue Hawaii. Or balsamic vinegar. Either waaay is better than phallus flavour.
