Summary:

Claudia calms everyone down by taking Lizzie’s pistol and one-shotting Isaac.  She blames the whole thing on Isaac, and Reiji drops the $5 million off at Isaac’s mansion.  Along with the incredibly long reports that Claudia compiles, the Godo group is satisfied and Claudia takes Isaac’s place by Raymond’s side.  Unfortunately, Scythe Master tricks Toru with a misleading photo of Reiji finding Muroto’s body, where it looks like Reiji was the killer.

Meanwhile, Cal and Reiji continue their happy family life and Reiji says that she can’t be an assassin; she can, however, be his maid.  Cal is happy about this, but it’s clear that she’s still brushing up on her hitman skills while Reiji is at work.  Eventually it comes out that Reiji is sad and self-loathing because of his work, but Cal wants to come into his world so they can be together forever.  Finally, Lizzie gets caught again, and is forced to call Reiji into a trap set by the Godo group.

Reaction:

You know what this show needs? It needs a spinoff where Reiji marries Ellen and they adopt Cal. I can already picture in my mind rebellious teenage Cal sneaking out with a boyfriend while a doting Reiji cries tears of sadness outside the bathroom. Throw in creepy Ellen showing up at the critical moment to cockblock the poor boyfriend and you have a winner. You could even throw in Scythe Master as Ellen’s lecherous boss at work. I would watch this!

In terms of this episode, most of the first half was stuff we already knew. Scythe Master seems to be playing everyone to mess Inferno up from within. However, I thought Toru was supposed to be smart. Why would he believe that photo of Reiji? First off, who took the picture? Where are the other pictures? Was there video? Did Scythe Master imply that Muroto was seduced into the room by the promise of a homosexual one night stand with Reiji? And if Reiji is so clearly holding a gun in the picture, why the hell would he kill Muroto with a razor? These are all obvious questions that Toru should have asked; I guess he’s only smart when compared to Daisuke. Oh and Lizzie has got to stop being captured by everyone. This is getting ridiculous.
