White Album 06

Summary:

Misaki is freaking out over her deadline, but she can’t give up because she wants to tell her story. At the same time, Touya is avoiding dealing with his issues with Yuki and he knows he can’t get past the dragon guarding the cave, so he distracts himself by immersing himself in Misaki’s work. Misaki is in this bind because she rejected Tamaru 2 years ago and it ended up being a huge PR disaster. Even though Tamaru has some dumb freshman girlfriend now, he still harbors an intense grudge against Misaki. Now Misaki is facing a real time-crunch, and her friend Yoshie won’t even lend her a sewing machine or work space.

When Misaki comes over to have Touya review her designs, she ends up falling asleep on his bed right before Touya gets a call from Yuki. Touya ends up not telling Yuki about Misaki, and Misaki is saddened by the phone call. Meanwhile, Yuki is doing really crappy in the studio, but Eiji keeps working her to the bone. Yayoi is very satisfied with her performance in keeping Touya away, although her attempt to reward Touya with a kiss gets pushed away… after a 2 second sample. While all this is going on, Rina wanders the streets in her retarded disguise, and Mana catches Misaki and Touya shopping and mistakes Misaki for Yuki.

Reaction:

Although Yayoi is still my favorite, I have decided to ally with the Yuki x Touya camp. I like how everyone keeps trying to interfere, and how they both think they can be shady because it was harder to stalk people in 1986. Meanwhile, I dunno why Crusader has his panties in a bunch about Misaki, because if I was a chick in a bind, I would totally use my womanly charms to sucker the unemployed loser who has nothing better to do. I found it hilarious how Misaki turned in this horrible sketchbook of drawings from an all-nighter and Touya was like “OMGWTFBBQ, this is amazing!” I also liked how Touya giving Misaki the Heimlich reminded Misaki of the time Tamaru tried to dry-hump her from behind 2 years ago.

You know it’s true love when you made enough time in your year to go on exactly one date with your girlfriend (before she even gets any real work). I enjoy watching Touya trying to dodge all these romantic minefields, and I wonder if lying was much easier back in the day. I feel like Yayoi should realize that Yuki needs to get some hot loving from Touya before she can churn out a chart-topping hit, but I guess that book Yayoi is always reading doesn’t have any relationship advice. I really hope we eventually find out what Yayoi is reading, because the comedic possibilities are endless. BTW, where is Haruka? Is she dead? Shouldn’t Haruka also be helping out with the costumes because she has nothing better to do and she is pretty much Touya’s bitch these days?

Well, according to Touya, Haruka is unreliable.

Of course, seeing as how this is TOUYA saying it, she must be unbelievably unreliable if he manages to notice.

Unreliable enough to entrust his re-registration to her, lol.

Or he could just be a dipshit.

        Either way.

(also, anyone else think the series needs to be rebooted and focus on Rina getting into Yuki’s panties? And then the panties of the rest of the female cast…)

That would certainly make this a much different series… :blank:

I think that Touya’s little feelings are just hurt because Haruka hasn’t tried to run him over with her bike recently, even though Yayoi has is a better ride.

I’m waiting for Haruka to snap out of it and slam Touya in the side of the head with a 160 mph serve.

My problem with Miaski is simple she’s still hanging around her rapist voluntarily. There is no valid reason for her to stay with that fucking Thespian club anymore yet she stays there like some idiot. God helps those who help themselves, If Misaki does not wish to live without fear then she doesn’t deserve to live at all…

Don’t you know that that is the only Thespian club in all of Japan?

    My reaction was:

Yuki – she finally sang and we heard. (Personally, I liked it, but Eiji was…meh)
Touya – why is he giving love advice and criticism? (He really meddled and lied big time. Some hero)
Yayoi – can’t there be a rational way to solve it?
Rina – Rina? Where? (She walked away when she saw Yayoi. Does that mean she supports Yuki’s relationship? I think so)
    Mana – ??? (I don’t consider her a Goddess. Maybe a loli, but not a Goddess)
Misaki – I already knew there was something off with Tamaru, but not off the cliff type.
Akira – I support him. He’s the more sensible one even if he has less screentime.

(Unlike some ppl, I’m enjoying the dorama and stupidity. Makes me feel smart.)

Why can’t she be a loli AND a goddess?

She’s not a Goddess because all of Touya’s supposed Goddesses all came looking for him. To me, Mana is the ‘I don’t need no man, maybe later’ type. I’m not saying Touya’s other “Goddesses” are desperate for love or attention, but so far, Mana can seem to do well on her own (especially if you watch epi. 07) ^^

Except that she asked him to come tutor her… She even specifically requested him, I believe.

I’ve got to admit that I also find it difficult to condemn Touya. He’s a lazy bum living on a day-by-day basis, without planning ahead. However, when he is faced with a dilemma, I thought he’s got a good track record of unrelated single decisions. Heck, if an old friend calls me up in the night dissolved in tears, I’d probably also skip a date with my GF. However, I’d make perfectly sure that she knows what I’m doing and why. This is where he fails, and it will get increasingly difficult to handle.

Well then… on to check what Crusader writes about WA07 :->

From my memory, it was her mother, the ‘designer’, that assigns or calls up the school for hiring, not Mana. Mana just accepts and proves she’s smarter than any college student. ^^
