Misaki is freaking out over her deadline, but she can’t give up because she wants to tell her story. At the same time, Touya is avoiding dealing with his issues with Yuki and he knows he can’t get past the dragon guarding the cave, so he distracts himself by immersing himself in Misaki’s work. Misaki is in this bind because she rejected Tamaru 2 years ago and it ended up being a huge PR disaster. Even though Tamaru has some dumb freshman girlfriend now, he still harbors an intense grudge against Misaki. Now Misaki is facing a real time-crunch, and her friend Yoshie won’t even lend her a sewing machine or work space.
When Misaki comes over to have Touya review her designs, she ends up falling asleep on his bed right before Touya gets a call from Yuki. Touya ends up not telling Yuki about Misaki, and Misaki is saddened by the phone call. Meanwhile, Yuki is doing really crappy in the studio, but Eiji keeps working her to the bone. Yayoi is very satisfied with her performance in keeping Touya away, although her attempt to reward Touya with a kiss gets pushed away… after a 2 second sample. While all this is going on, Rina wanders the streets in her retarded disguise, and Mana catches Misaki and Touya shopping and mistakes Misaki for Yuki.
Reaction:
Although Yayoi is still my favorite, I have decided to ally with the Yuki x Touya camp. I like how everyone keeps trying to interfere, and how they both think they can be shady because it was harder to stalk people in 1986. Meanwhile, I dunno why Crusader has his panties in a bunch about Misaki, because if I was a chick in a bind, I would totally use my womanly charms to sucker the unemployed loser who has nothing better to do. I found it hilarious how Misaki turned in this horrible sketchbook of drawings from an all-nighter and Touya was like “OMGWTFBBQ, this is amazing!” I also liked how Touya giving Misaki the Heimlich reminded Misaki of the time Tamaru tried to dry-hump her from behind 2 years ago.
You know it’s true love when you made enough time in your year to go on exactly one date with your girlfriend (before she even gets any real work). I enjoy watching Touya trying to dodge all these romantic minefields, and I wonder if lying was much easier back in the day. I feel like Yayoi should realize that Yuki needs to get some hot loving from Touya before she can churn out a chart-topping hit, but I guess that book Yayoi is always reading doesn’t have any relationship advice. I really hope we eventually find out what Yayoi is reading, because the comedic possibilities are endless. BTW, where is Haruka? Is she dead? Shouldn’t Haruka also be helping out with the costumes because she has nothing better to do and she is pretty much Touya’s bitch these days?
