Rina calls Touya early in morning and tells him to be at Yuunagi Station at 10 AM. Yuki, however, planned the date for Hotarugasaki Station at 11 AM. Rina goes out in disguise to spend a little time with Touya beforehand, but Touya ends up going to Hotarugasaki Station at 10. Eventually Rina gets tired of waiting, and Touya bumps into Mana; Mana is rather rude and evasive and ends up ditching Touya (and class) after riding the bus with him to Hotarugasaki Academy. All the while, Yuki is waiting at the station for him at Hotarugasaki, and the two keep switching places and missing each other. They don’t meet up until much later, and Yuki reveals that Eiji wrote a sad, beautiful song to be Yuki’s debut single.
In a series of scenes, we see how Yuki mistakenly reached for Touya’s locker because she had the same locker in middle school, and Touya got kicked out of the house by his dad after his mom died. Yuki invites Touya over to her temporary apartment, and wants Touya to recognize the area as the mountain where she first met him. Unfortunately, Touya doesn’t remember that part and associates the area with Haruka and unpleasant memories. Yuki decides she might as well sleep with Touya then, so Touya sits in her super-sparse apartment while Yuki takes a shower to get ready.
Reaction:
I am now completely convinced that Rina is trying to poach Touya. I don’t think Rina realizes she is subconsciously trying to come on to Touya, but clearly Rina is trying too hard and justifying her actions as favors for Yuki. Rina basically messed up the entire date by interfering, and Eiji’s comment about “glass throat” Rina going through so many rehearsals just to buy time for Yuki was telling. Rina may not consciously know it, but she clearly wants Touya to manage her… in bed. Ironically, Touya comes to the same conclusion, but for all the wrong reasons.
So screw all these Touya-loving girls, I’m rooting for Yayoi. I felt a little bad for Haruka, but that girl is nuts; Rina is nice now, but I know she is going to give in to temptation and backstab Yuki. As for Yuki, after so long she hasn’t realized that she and Touya are not really that close and in fact barely know anything about each other. She doesn’t even like to look at his face when she hugs him! I’m willing to bet she makes him wear a paper bag over his head when she bangs him; their chemistry is just that good.
