The elders are prepared to sacrifice the town to save the world, but unfortunately they are easily distracted by Enjin’s powered up geckos. Hime has a flashback to when she had a throat wound, and Gin and Akina gave her a scarf to cover the scar. Unfortunately, either she over-trained recently or she really just sucks because she is unable to take down a single uber-gecko.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team has no problem tuning the rest of uber-geckos while Hime ends up in the hospital again. Yuuhi takes some time out of his busy schedule to show off his man purse to the elders. This is supposed to demonstrate that the youkai have taken control of the Nana-Gou from the outside. Now the Nana-Gou cannot be cut down and there is not much that the elders can do. Yae is tired of waiting around, but as a goddess of the land she can’t follow Shinozuka very far.
Reaction:
It sucks that Sakurashin has such a weak mayor and now the barriers that protected the residents are a major threat. I don’t understand why Hime didn’t let those uber-geckos taste the rainbow like in episode 8. Meanwhile, Akina’s plan is still… wait he has no plan. You can tell that all the residents would move somewhere else as soon as they could find a town that accepted youkai.
I’m still curious about what Yuuhi and Yae are supposed to be doing. Although they are about as useless as Akina, Yuuhi seems to have some kind of plan. It’s odd that the elders could lose control of the Nana-Gou, as I thought they were connected to the Nana-Gou. I’m confused about where this plotline is going, but I guess there is still enough time to wrap this story up.
