Zero no Tsukaima 3 09

Summary:
We start off with a nonsensical search where Tifa gets her jugs poked by Louise and Maricon gets his man-teats fondled by Saito. Suddenly, a busty blue-haired girl with a childish voice drops out of the sky and introduces herself as Tabitha’s younger sister Irukuku (”Gentle Wind”). No one believes Irukuku at first, but Sylphid just happens to show up as a witness, and so the Ondine Knights decide to go save Tabitha. Unfortunately, Henrietta won’t let the Knights move out because they represent Tristain, and rescuing Tabitha would be a declaration of war.

Everyone ends up resigning their nobility to skirt the issue, but Henrietta just has them all arrested anyway. It’s no big deal though, because Kirche and (Jean) Colbert bust them out while using the Ostland as a distraction. Meanwhile, at Al Hambra, Vidashal agrees to serve Joseph and give Gallia 100 years of mining rights for Sahara windstone in exchange for Joseph’s help in keeping everyone away from the gates of Shaitan. Naturally there’s been activity at the gates, and Vidashal worries that the evil for 6,000 years ago will return when the four devils gather. Joseph is eager for excitement, but first he has to force his niece to drink some crazy-water.

Reaction:
Irukuku being Sylphid in human form was fairly obvious, even before Derflinger revealed that Sylphid is a rare Rhyme Dragon. However, if Rhyme Dragons have intelligence, linguistic skills, and ancient magic, how come Sylphid got totally owned by Vidashal. I also wonder if the story of heroic I’lvaldi rescuing the girl abducted by dragons is all sexy like the books that Siesta has been reading. It just seems that this season is full of books and they are all really smutty.

We got a little bit of plot this time, but I’m sure Joseph is going to betray Vidashal. I figure Tabitha will just fake being crazy, or Vidashal will brew up some antidote since the crazy-water is an Elven creation (that or Tifa will fix everyone up). The Henrietta angst was still unresolved, but it was funny (in a wrong way) hearing her talk about how badly she needs a man to fulfill her needs. I noticed that Gimli and Reynald got added screentime this episode, but I hope that doesn’t continue. Where the heck has Julio been this season?

Does liking the dragon girl make me a furry lover despite her lack of fur? :blank:
Also, I just noticed the fat dude’s name is Maricorn, which means gay in Spanish if you remove the ‘r”

Shoot, maybe I should go back and change all the instances of “Marek” to “Maricon”. It’s so hard to tell with unimportant side characters who have romanized names!
