They're second to none for making you feel empathy for their tragic characters especially at death scenes and changes-of-heart. Other reason I like them doesn't apply here, but they have the most guts of all studios for making many original concepts rather than only adaptating popular manga/novels. I was really hoping chibi-Maka would go nuts in the dream world and kick some sand in chibi-Chrona's face, but alas it didn't happen. Love power wins again... The Mizune transformation was so OMGWTF when I first saw it in the manga. The finger snapping was totally West Side Story, and their "battle" is hilarious. It's interesting how Blair actually seems to be a better fighter (or at least a better melee fighter) when in kitty mode.
