Minamo is chatting with Holon about how hot Holon is, when she notices that Holon has awesome Sous-Marin glasses. These were popular 50 years ago, especially with divers, and Minamo thinks it would be really cool to get a pair for Masamichi. Although the glasses are super-rare and expensive, Minamo scores a pair for free by eating one of those 20 pound burgers at the Gull Grill.
Unfortunately, the pair that Minamo obtained looks the same as the pair that a rogue Iron Schwartz android lost. The android is malfunctioning and beating up everyone in his path; even Holon is knocked out by a palm strike to the solar plexus. Worse yet, even after Minamo gives up the glasses, the android still wants to beat up Souta. At the critical moment, Holon cuts the lights and Souta takes advantage of the distraction to knock the android out. The glasses are destroyed, but it turns out Masamichi already had a pair (which he gives to Minamo as a gift).
Reaction:
This was the most awesome episode so far, even though I bet we won’t see any fighting now for at least 10 episodes. It turns out that Souta and Holon are both huge martial arts enthusiasts, and I got the impression that Souta was really crushing on Holon (even though he is Metal-banging the Secretary General). The fight against the fake Iron Schwartz had superb choreography, and it was hilarious how Iron Schwartz kept beating up helpless people and then busting up their joints.
Minamo was really cute in this episode, and I was amazed at how well she was dodging Iron Schwartz. I was also amazed to learn that Holon will accept any invitation from a guy, as long as it doesn’t interfere with her missions. Leave it to Souta to immediately go on a date with her at a cafe showing Real-Fight Club matches! It’s crazy how in the future, nerdy guys can program androids to beat the crap out of people who bully them. But what are nerdy English majors supposed to do?
