After a Witch’s Mass, Medusa gets approached by Elka Frogg, who accuses her of stealing from Madame Demona and questions her true intent of being in Shibusen. But Medusa basically shrugs her and her pink-haired silent partner off and tells them to get out of the way. Meanwhile, as she returns as a nurse, Medusa examines Soul Eater and his progress from the injury by Chrona. Soul Eater mentions he’s having these strange dreams with an Imp who says he has the secret to more power, but throws Soul Eater out of the jazz bar that he occupies. After the examination, both Maka and Soul Eater head back to their pad where they invite their friends over to celebrate Black Star’s and Tsubaki’s first soul capture.

Meanwhile, Elka Frogg and her partner manage to corner Madusa at an alley in Death City where they were gonna kill her, but Medusa uses the snake up her sleeves (when she had stuck her hands into both of their hands) and kills off Frogg’s partner with ease and without having to release soul protect. Before Medusa could take care of Frogg, both could hear some footsteps approaching, which prompts Frogg to change into a frog and run (not hop) away. Maka and Stein make it into the scene but only manage to see Medusa by herself.

A bit later, Medusa manages to catch up to Frogg and gives her an ultimatum: Either go release prisoner 13, known as the Man of the Demoneye (who took one of Madam Demona’s eyes), or get squashed right then and there. With not much of a choice, Frogg agrees to go and release the Man.

I get the feeling that Stein knows what’s up with Medusa, but he’s sort of sitting back and seeing what happens since he’s in close proximity to her most of the time at Shibusen. It was pretty funny watching Black Star struggle with the Soul Solvent, but in typical BS fashion, he refuses to give in as this will help him wield Tsubaki in Fey Blade mode for the future. That Frogg girl was annoying though, having to insert a “ribbit” every so often while she talked. Too bad Medusa couldn’t have just squashed her right there when she had the change.
