After a tumultuous morning where Maka finds Blair trying to seduce Soul Eater and Maka’s dad trying to be Mr. Cool homeroom teacher, Maka and Soul Eater find themselves in a pitch with Death Black Star and Tsubaki in the eyes of Shinigami-sama since they have a collective count of zero souls at this point. To get them out of the death house, Shinigami-sama proposes that the group hunt down the former teacher but now zombified Sid, who has been terrorizing students at SWMU to join him in the dark side of zombie-ism. And for some extra motivation, Shinigami-sama said he would expel all of them if they failed at this mission. This takes our young meisters to Hook Cemetery where they battle Sid, and Death Black Star manages to capture Sid with his patented Trap Star technique. But not all is done yet as they now have to hunt down Dr. Franken Stein, the former weapon meister of Maka’s father and the one who turned Sid into a zombie.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at the fact that a Dr. Franken Stein was behind all of this :P Plus it was funny to watch Black Star be oblivious to the seriousness of the situation while the group was talking to Shinigami-sama, resulting in the daily Shinigami-chopu. Apparently this sacred move isn’t limited to Shinigami-sama as Maka showed off her Maka-chopu twice. I predict that Blair will somehow come in at the last minute in the battle between Dr. Stein vs Maka and Death Black Star to tip the balance of power towards the young meisters.

OMFG Death Star is operational again?!?!?! Hehe, I think you mean Black Star.
Zombies and High Schools just seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Doh! Yeah I meant to say Black Star
While skimming through this episode, I noticed that Shinigami-sama sounds a bit different… I liked his more high pitched voice
I dunno…his voice sounded the same as usual I thought. He was just trying to be more serious than usual explaining the dire situation to Maka and company
LOL! With a voice like that? Before he sounded like a true Joker or something… but now he reminds me of a drunk Barney (the Dinosaur) (well, actually, maybe he does sound a bit like the Flintstones Barney… good times)
