We get a bit of resolution to the Ai fiasco, as Ai tries to break up to Miyokichi but gets denied. In response, Miyokichi asks Noe to curse his heart so that he won’t be hurt when Ai leaves him. Interestingly enough, Ai decides she has graduated from Shinichiro, so I guess she really just hated going out with Miyokichi.
Jun keeps trying to call Hiromi but she just ignores him (and later tries to dump him). Shinichiro seems to be getting closer to Hiromi, but she decides that it is time for her to move out. At first Shinichiro doesn’t want to see Hiromi off, but at the last minute he starts peddling like a madman to stop her taxi. Hiromi sees him crash his bicycle and runs to his side where he tells her he will take care of everything properly.
Reaction:
It seems like Shinichiro is resolved to break up with Noe. All those haters need to take note of how in a shortened season Shinichiro is putting forth minimal waffling and doing what he thinks is right. Maybe he is making a mistake (and of course this sucks for Noe), but he isn’t just sitting around doing nothing. Shinichiro is ready to fight for his childhood friend who isn’t scared off by his creepy drawings of crying girls.
The main thing I got out of this confusing episode is that snow and ice suck. They suck so bad because they will wreck your bicycle, your motorcycle, and your ankle. We also finally found out that Shinichiro’s mom’s name is Kanae. Getting back to Hiromi, how is the girls’ basketball team going to win the next match now? And is Miyokichi going to get over his broken heart? I think this is just the right amount of episodes for a Hiromi win.
