True Tears 09

Summary:

Jun swerves to avoid a bunny, and the bike crashes. Everyone is ok, and fortunately Shinichiro and Noe were stalking the basketball couple in a taxi. Noe is very happy that Jun is ok, but she is shocked when she sees Shinichiro embrace Hiromi tightly. When they get home, Shinichiro tries to confront his father about the affair, and Nakagami-otosan keeps the pimp hand strong by slapping Shinichiro for being dumb enough to believe the lies of a jealous woman. Nakagami-okasan tries to mend the fences with Hiromi, and Hiromi begins to act more normal at home.

Unfortunately, now the way is cleared for a Hiromi x Shinichiro ending, and Noe can see her chances slipping away. Shinichiro finds her kneeling at the spot where he confessed to her, and tells her about how the Raigomaru in the story is afraid to find out he is just a normal chicken. Noe encourages Shinichiro, but Jun’s probably going to have to find her a new guy soon. This is what happens when you don’t run over animals or get insurance on your motorcycle.

Reaction:

I am rooting for a Hiromi win, but this episode felt like a Pyrrhic victory. Sure Hiromi came out ahead because of the accident, but she’s been suspended from the basketball team (and so has Jun)! Anyway, I was right to suspect that the affair was a lie, but not very much was explained. Why did Nakagami-okasan hate Yuasa-okasan enough to trick Hiromi? I think Noe’s going to get dumped soon, and I can only hope that Shinichiro does it quickly to minimize the pain. You didn’t really think Noe was going to trump two childhood friends for Shinichiro’s love, did you?

I have to say that overall Hiromi was awesome this episode. After forcing Jun to take her out (extorting him by using Noe), she wrecked his bike and reveled in the warmth of the fire. Then, Hiromi ended up screwing over Noe anyway, and now the path to Shinichiro’s heart is clear. Poor Noe is going to be single, and her brother is going to be too busy working at his part-time job (to get a new bike) to spend any time with her. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Hiromi paid that white rabbit off before she went to Jun’s place. It looks like Nakagami-okasan has trained Hiromi well…

On a completely different note, when are we going to meet the raging tanuki in the ED? Could he be the killer?!

I don’t know if this is the time to declare a Hiromi victory just yet, it all wrapped up for her nicely. Too nicely if you ask me, like the eye of the storm a brief respite before Shin-chan decides to waver in his commitment. now that Hiromi has lost all her previous reasons for being emotional, I suspect some heavy shit to go down.

It all hinges on Shin-chan now is he just a Jibeta or is he going to aspire to be like Raigomaru? I will support Noe to the bitter end and with what 3-4 eps to go I suspect Shin-chan lacks the resolve of Jun or Nobuse.

I think that Nobuse is a stand up guy, not only does he intimidate two guys off while Shin-chan hid behind him he stuck by the Aiko stealing bastard. I hope that Aiko and Nobuse make up.

I know what you mean about Hiromi peaking too early. However, I think it is just the right time for Hiromi to have a few setbacks and win at the end. We’ll see how Shinichiro handles everything.

I am also eager to see how the Ai-Miyokichi thing wraps up.

Even with no hope in sight and an ominously titled 11th episode, I will cling on to hopes for a Noe victory to the bitter end! No matter that her chances are 0%, sounds like 100% to me!

Wow, I’m just delusional at this point aren’t I D=

I knew the Shinichiro-Noe matchup couldn’t last. A relationship based upon how well he writes chicken stories can’t last.

So is Nakagami-okasan using Hiromi to shave points? Anyway I wouldn’t write off a Noe victory just yet.

Now you got me wondering if Hiromi was also involved in Raigomaru’s murder… XD

How was Hiromi awesome D: the bike went in flames, and she uses it to WARM HER HANDS. If I was Jun, I’d slap her and make her pay for it.

I’m still rooting for Noe, even though the chances aren’t very high. At least if Shinichiro isn’t with Noe, she’s mine for the taking.

    I thought that was awesome.

I also thought the hand-warming over the bike was awesome. Jun can’t do anything to Hiromi as long as Shinichiro is still technically going out with Noe.

Nakagami-kaasan (or even the Nakagami household) is still a mystery at this point. Her thawing in this episode went too fast, and I can’t help but think she still has some more secrets up her sleeves.

using the fire to warm her hand is awsome? you guys got any experience with snow, the girl was covered with snow for some time, the only natural thing would be to warm her hands.

it’s been kinda obvious from the start that Shinichiro is going to make Noe cry. the end is open tho.

I just had the thought that Shinichiro is not writing about himself as Raigomaru, but rather feather-toting Noe as Raigomaru. It’s just that he doesn’t realize it yet. Let’s see if my prediction pans out.

Even though i watched all of True Tears, im still for NoexShinichiro .<
Noe is Shinichiro’s best choice in my opinion even though *spoiler* i know hes gonna choose Hiromi since hes known her longer and all that. (Sorry Hiromi fans) but Hiromi is such a brat! Go Noe!!!!
