They’re Both On Fire!

From Ogiue Maniax:

I’ve also seen some people accusing Tama-chan of being too powerful, similar to say, Ryouma from Prince of Tennis. I’ve never really had a problem with those kinds of main characters, as not every main character has to be an underdog.

I don’t have a problem with Tamaki’s power, as Bamboo Blade is rarely built on suspense over whether Tamaki will win her match. Since there are squad vs. squad matches, I simply assume that the other team starts off the contest down two headstrikes.

In a tennis match, Ryouma would win, because he would serve the tennis ball at Tamaki’s feet and cause her to step on the ball and badly sprain her ankle. I think that Ryouma would do ok in kendo, seeing as he is “Samurai Junior” haha. Perhaps he could dual-wield.

Problem with Ryouma is that he had like 50 matches and he NEVER lost one; Tama-chan had had like, what, five? So it’s easier to assume (for now) that Tama-chan might lose at some point.

Also, Tama-chan is not an insufferable prick.
