Hiromi starts lying about how she met Number 4 and instantly took a liking to him, and Shinichiro is very disappointed. As he is moping, he runs into Ai, and he blames her for giving him false hope. Suddenly, Ai gets very flirty and invites Shinichiro shopping with her, while lying about why Miyokichi cannot make it. Ai even ends up buying a sweater that Shinichiro stares at (since it is purple like Hiromi’s sweater), and mentions about how Shinichiro didn’t have to bring her and Miyokichi together (when they first started dating).
Later on, Noe mentions that Shinichiro’s tears are dirty and useless, and that she is only after magnificent tears from someone who is dear to her and looking skyward. This all stems from a story her beloved grandma told her, about how she was taking a trip to the sky and taking away Noe’s tears. Shinichiro informs Noe that the seeds taste disgusting, so Noe decides to try sky yams instead. Noe is fascinated with Shinichiro and cannot stop talking about him, so her brother (Number 4, Isurugi Jun) visits Shinichiro and asks him to go out with Noe.
This show is so full of lies, they should just change the title to Crocodile Tears or True Lies. Ai clearly wants Shinichiro soooo badly, and thinks she has killed two chickens with one stone, but Shinichiro has her pegged as just-a-friend. Poor Miyokichi is getting played and he doesn’t even realize it. It was really sad when Ai pulled away from his attempt to hold her hand. I was also dying at how Ai was stabbing her food nervously while saying that time heals all wounds. Can Ai out-rebound the star of the basketball team?!
Meanwhile the cold war between Hiromi and Shinichiro’s mom continues as Nakagami-okasan mentions that Hiromi and Hiromi’s mom have the same eyes. Did Yuasa-okasan steal Yuasa-otosan away from Nakagami-okasan when they were youngsters?! Nakagami-otosan seems kinda aloof most of the time, but when he asked about Shinichiro’s art, it showed that at least he understood his son a little bit. If only he knew his son was building up an incredible harem!

I totally had no.4 pegged as a siscon and that there’d be a scene where he challenged Shinichiro to a game of one-on-one to emasculate him.
One on one between those two would be so horrible and humiliating. After watching Shinichiro receive a pass from Miyokichi and turn and face the basket, I’m pretty sure that Shinichiro has almost zero basketball skills. Jun would be blocking Shinichiro’s shot into the bleachers and breaking his ankles, easily.
Interestingly enough, I bet if Jun played Hiromi one on one, the result would be exactly the same, because I see Jun as someone that shows no mercy on the court.
