Marle and Lawrence come up with an extremely complicated scheme to bust Horo out, while keeping the Medioh Company fairly quiet. While the Milone Company continues buying up coins and negotiating, various Milone underlings help Lawrence spirit Horo away through the Church’s various underground tunnels. The plan is successful, although Horo is pissed that she has to journey through the dirty tunnels like a Ninja Turtle.
Horo reveals that Chloe was amongst her captors, and it was a bit of a catfight. At first Horo was pleased that Chloe realized Horo was the wolf spirit, Chloe’s assertion that Horo was obsolete really hurt Horo deeply. However, Lawrence tells Horo that Chloe is just a hater, especially since the duo decided to leave Pasroe anyway. Lawrence tells the contacts at the Milone Company that Count Eiren Dotte is backing the Medioh Company, and then he and Horo go on the run.
The first part of this episode was soooooo boring as Lawrence and Marle hashed out their super-complicated scheme. Political intrigue is so not for me, as Horo and I were expecting Lawrence to bust in and kick some ass. At least Lawrence has the comforting thing down pat, and it looks like Horo is back to her old flirty self again.
The meeting between Chloe and Horo was intense! The foreshadowing made it pretty obvious, since they showed a flash of the mask on the desk. I don’t really understand why Chloe went all that way to track down Horo, but the power of a scorned woman cannot be underestimated. Does this mean that Lawrence is not going to be able to open a store for a while now?
