Konishi-san shows up to let Tamaki out, but her intentions are not pure. As the two rush back to the match, a bunch of tennis balls just happens to fall out, and Tamaki badly rolls her ankle after stepping on a ball. The only reason Konishi-san let Tamaki out is because Konishi-san didn’t want to win via forfeiture. Even Konishi-san is surprised that the trap worked, considering how few tennis balls she used.
The final matches start, and Satori barely eeks out a tie between waves of stomach pain (from eating too much). Miyako gets a good start, but is distracted by Reimi waving a huge Miyako flag in the stands, and loses her third match. Both Kirino (a focused Trance Kirino) and Sayako manage to win their matches, but if Konishi-san can beat Tamaki, then Toujou High can win based on points. However, Tamaki is seriously pissed now, and quickly nails Konishi-san with a thrust attack, her Atomic Fire Blade.
They better not start naming all the attacks, like the Misty Honey Bee strike… And I thought Tamaki wasn’t allowed to use that strike against girls. Anyway, the groupies all put on a show this time, and it was awesome how Konishi-san’s fangirls were lamenting that they didn’t do a full body check of Tamaki. Satori was good for some laughs as she attempted to keep from crapping herself. I can totally relate to her waves of pain! I also liked how Dan told her that the Sega was watching over her.
Meanwhile, Tamaki was being stupid about not telling Toraji about the injury. As the final matchup, she could have had enough time to ice her ankle beforehand, and then wrapped it in some tape. Instead, she’s got a badly swollen sprained ankle, and with her anger unsealed there is a good chance Konishi-san is going to die. I guess that is what you get for looking like a female Ichimaru Gin.

If looks could kill…
Saying ‘Akogare’ adds 3, ‘Oneesama’ adds 10 to fangirlness (hey, it ate my ‘plus’ sign! Thank goodness for Ajax Edit Comments!)
Ironically, AEC was what was stripping out the
+sign. Latest version fixes this bug. Just like how Tamaki misjudged Konishi, you thought AEC was here to help but really AEC was just trying to stab you in the back!Sweet I actually remember what happened in this episode…I didn’t even have to check my own blog!
Pssh everyone knows that naming attacks makes them stronger….haven’t you watched Bleach!
Apparently you have! I think I was going to use that joke but forgot to….orz
Well, at least AEC didn’t leave a bunch of tennis balls lying around or else I would have had to do an ATOMIC FIRE BLADE tsuki on it!
If Tamaki had only had her shinai, she could have hit all those tennis balls into Konishi’s face before they hit the ground!
I would be afraid of the length of the names of Sayako’s attacks…
“I also liked how Dan told her that the Sega was watching over her.”
Trust. I still hope that the company decides to make a new system, though it’s still very, very unlikely. Glad to see that Dan care though, since it makes him more badass.
“I would be afraid of the length of the names of Sayako’s attacks…”
I would be afraid of her singing them, rather than the names themselves. :P
