Kirino misses two days of school and no one can reach her. Sayako is really worried about Kirino, but it turns out Kirino is just helping out her dad at the deli. Kirino’s mom is exhausted from too many late concerts with her friends. With that drama out of the way, it’s time for the North Kanto regional preliminaries to begin. Everyone does well (except Miyako who loses every match), and Kirino is especially focused. However, Satori notices Toujou High’s top kendoka, Konishi-san, watching Tamaki’s matches; rumor has it that all of Konishi-san’s opponents get hurt or sabotaged before their match.

As if on cue, there is a message over the loudspeaker calling Tamaki to the parking lot. Someone stuck some tacks in Tamaki’s shoes, but Tamaki notices beforehand. Unfortunately, Tamaki is tricked by Konishi-san’s 3 groupies into coming with them, and she gets trapped in the closet. Will Tamaki escape in time for her match?!

I guess things look bad, but I thought Tamaki had her cell phone with her. That would make it pretty easy to alert someone to let her out. It would have made more sense to call her dad first, to see what the matter was. Meanwhile that Konishi-san is clearly pretty bitchy (messing with poor Satori!), so I wonder if she put her groupies up to this.

Speaking of Satori, why in the world would her mom wrap up a Sega like a bento? That simply does not make any sense! I can’t even blame Satori for grabbing the wrong bento! She’s just lucky that Dan cheered up Miyako beforehand, otherwise the girl’s team would be back to 4 members again. Dan’s spiral power really has been invaluable to the team so far. On another note, what was the deal with that random shounen series soccer guy and baseball guy?
