When Kazumi picked up her latest hougu, I couldn’t help but think about how she keeps getting stuck with all these junky hougu that nobody wants. Let’s analyze:

Kazumi:

• bRaising Heart: The knockoff pendant gives no staff of pew pew, and the downside of moving around in a fuzetsu is that you can die in battle.
• Cross: Useful if any undead attack, but using the item will also cause you to die.

Yuuji:

• Resistance Ring: One of the most underrated items in the SNS world, as most enemies use flame-based attacks. Combine this with Yuuji’s PoE hardening against physical attacks and the natural aggro draw of the Reiji Maigo, and Yuuji is ready to tank!
• Blutsauger: Given Yuuji’s rechargeable battery status, this is probably the most powerful weapon in the game for him. I’d say the sword should be nerfed, but no one else who could equip it rolled.

Satou:

• Walkie Talkie: The sound is excellent, and it doubles as a bookmark.
• Battle Map: A situational item, but great for finding the nearest Torch flash mob.

WTF, Kazumi got screwed! Satou and Yuuji are like those guys who go to trade shows and come away with a free bluetooth headset, sweet t-shirts, and a nice backpack, while Kazumi is the n00b who has nothing to show for her long day except a bunch of cheap pens, highlighters, flyers, and extremely tired feet.

Also, this newest hougu has to be one of the worst ideas ever. Here is a much better idea: loli Pheles clone that helps save the environment by using less energy and having a standby mode. Yuuji is a renewable resource, so just plug in loli Pheles clone every week or so, and you can summon Pheles whenever you want. The tremendous upside of this plan is that Pheles will already know all the details, so you don’t even have to waste valuable flashback time.
