Bakeries do a booming business with Christmas cakes, up until the 24th, and then they discount their cakes on the 25th to get rid of ‘em. There’s a horrible analogy comparing marriageable women to Christmas cakes: Both are good until the 25th, then it’s hard to get rid of them, i.e. it’s difficult to marry a girl off after they’re 25 years old.
I just assumed that most countries exploded into a impulsive typhoon of capitalism once the latter half of December rolled around, but it was interesting to read how Christmas is a day of love in Japan. I’m also reminded of Kotonoha becoming slightly less crazy when she got taken back before Christmas. Ah, poor Kuroi-sensei.
BTW, on a separate note, does anyone really like those fruit cakes? They look beautiful, but I just detest them. I think it’s the cream that really drives me away, but I don’t find the light fluffy cake that great either. Whenever I get forced to eat one, I just eat the fruit (which usually doesn’t taste that fresh).

Who told you that ? Its the opposite. Until about 23 women like to fuck around like dogs in the heat, and then they are suddenly overcomed with this unstoppable desire to marry someone, probably because they realise nobody really need whores like them.

Karry just means in the US, where all the girls are ‘hos of course. It’s in Japan where girls are expired after 25 obviously.
On another note, the other big country with lots of Ho s is China, for a very differnt reason,
What about guys like Stripey? Is there some kind of metric for them? (ie - Valentine’s Chocolates are good until 14, and then no one wants them anymore?)
I *hate* the fruit bits in cake; fruit should be eaten fresh!!! OTOH fruit in Christmas pudding is ok, but mainly because the whole thing’s soaked in alcohol. :P
Fruit cakes are the only ones I eat, chocolate ones and cream ones are just WAY too sweet.
And where I live girls expire somewhere after 30 :p

That first comment is pretty epic. And I have a rather low opinion of the majority of asian baked desserts, although many of them are beautiful looking.
