Hagino hands over a diskette that details how Blue’s Emul Force Drive went out of control 20 cours ago. 804 humans at the landing site were wiped out by the wave of the Emul Force wave, and 200 of the advanced landing force were killed as well. Azanael is so pissed that the accident also resulted in Onomil’s death, that she wants to shoot Hagino, but butch guards quickly take Azanael away. However, Master Commander, Shibariel, is intrigued that someone could survive an Emul Force wave, and sends an interceptor probe to capture Mari.
Meanwhile, Mari discovers Michiko wants to be a writer, and the two of them meet up with toothpick-senpai (finally revealed to be Kawashima Akane). Akane reveals she wants to be a chef, and then some thugs storm in to cause trouble. At first the thugs try to capture Michiko, but they end up kidnapping Mari instead. A bunch of scrubby thugs, however, are no match for a tentacled interceptor probe, but fortunately Hagino shows up at the last minute to save Mari from being violated. A tearful Mari leaps into Hagino’s arms, and the traitor seems to be pleased with herself.
We finally got a little bit of excitement in an episode! Michiko was so embarrassed of her stories, so I can only imagine what she is writing about (reminds me of Tamura Hiyori). Meanwhile, I hope Hagino’s gamble pays off, because she is about to face some serious payback for choosing Mari over her compatriots.
The interceptor probe was so ridiculous, and I was surprised (considering its size and tentacles) that it could be taken out with small arms fire. I also giggled when Hagino ripped off her space suit to reveal her school uniform underneath.
