Blue Drop 03

After getting tasered, Hagino is all tsuntsun towards Mari, and the two of them have a staredown on the floor. Eventually Mari falls asleep, and Hagino’s deredere side comes out, as she wraps a blanket around Mari. Hagino doesn’t want to have a repeat of the accident 5 years ago, and tells Tsubael to go ahead and contact Novaal to request a rendezvous point. Tsubael then concocts a story about family tragedy so that Hagino can play hooky and return to the helm of Blue.

It seems that Blue is the 5th ship of Novaal that has been missing all this time. When Hagino arrives on the ship, she briefly sees a vision of Novaal officer Azanael’s lover Onomil. I guess this means that Onomil is dead and Azanael’s not going to be pleased. On Novaal, Azanael worriedly grips a hologram playback pendant of her and Onomil, while Novaal’s commander wonders why they haven’t heard from Blue in so long.

While this episode kept up the same slow pace, there were some pretty funny moments. The best part had to be Headmaster Fukumachi pulling up in his purple car and dropping off Yuuko in front of all the scandalized students. However, Tsubael calling up the school and pretending to be Hagino’s mother was a close second. It’s too bad Hagino had to return to Blue, because I also would have liked to see Hagino taste Mari’s terrible cooking. BTW, have they mentioned what toothpick-senpai’s name is yet?

I’m glad we’re getting some details about what happened 5 years ago. From the looks of things, Hagino (whose real name appears to be Ekaril) seems to have teamkilled Onomil by accidentally hitting her AOE fire hotkey. Friendly fire indeed… I like how all the uniforms are just swimsuits with accessories (e.g. hat, cape, shoulder pads).

    Indeed…

Apparently the way many scrapers work is they search sites like Technorati and then just grab any feeds that have the keywords they specify. Hence, mentioning that Akane likes cooking would attract cooking scrapers.
