Nadeshiko is a sneaky one, and when her bribe of cute Tadase pictures fails, she tries a new plan to convince Amu to join the Guardians. Nadeshiko mentions how much Tadase loves fruit tarts, and so she helps Amu with the cooking. Unfortunately, in the middle of the baking, Ikuto barges in to lick Amu’s last egg, thinking it is an Embryo. Nadeshiko Chara Changes into a crazed guandao-swinging madwoman, and in the struggle the tart crust gets destroyed.
It’s then that the last egg hatches into Su, and helps Amu use the leftover dough to make cookies. Later that day, Amu gives the cookies to Tadase and discovers that his Guardian Chara, Kiseki, changes Tadase into a pompous loudmouth bent on world domination. Amu is glad that the other Guardians have issues with self-confidence, and the next day they announce that she is the Joker, the newest Guardian.
The best moment of the episode was definitely the hot and heavy Ikuto-Amu scene, and this series needs more of that. As admirable as it is that Tadase is actually a wuss, angsty bishie Ikuto is infinitely more interesting, and he has way better chemistry with Amu. I wonder why Ikuto wants the Embryo, now that we know that the Embryo will grant the owner a wish.
This episode was a bit of a let-down in terms of production values, and Su was like a dumber, less tsundere Suisei Seki. Also, no one actually delivered their love letter, since Suzuki got pushed away by some groupies, and Amu was too shy to give her letter to Tadase. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the Guardians in action, as they make Amu’s Guardian Charas look rather mundane.

Most of the other Chara changes I can understand, but I am not sure what is going on with Nadeshiko. I imagine it being like this:
Nadeshiko: I’m tired of being perfect. I wish I could be a psycho and cause mass destruction. Ahh, my yandere would-be self…
Temari: Then change! You can do it, Chara Change!
Nadeshiko: RAWR!!!
Also, Ikuto-Amu innuendo is totally awesome, and Ikuto has to be one of the easiest characters to cosplay as.
I was like, “WAIT! THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN!” *skims through the episode*, but then I remembered it actually did! Oh man, there are so many suggestive things in this episode, its getting me rather…randy! I’m definitely sticking with this series now! XD
Su’s voice reminded me of Patricia Martin (no, not that Patricia Martin), but unfortunately, its not her ;_;… Can’t wait til we meet the other evil embryo steeling girl!
