Genma offers to go kill Kazuma and Pandemonium, but after being reminded of how he got his ass handed to him last time, he lets Ren and Ayano try instead. The scrubs all end up turning into yoma at midnight, and after Kazuma shreds them to pieces, the gory bits all converge on Pandemonium. Kazuma’s polluted wind is turning Japan into Mexico City, and so Ayano decides to teach him about taking out the burnable trash.
After a rousing speech about how Kazuma swore to use his great power to protect everyone, Kazuma capitulates to the power of logic. Ashamed at being out-debated by Ayano, he realizes the smoggy wind is making him weak, and goes back to his normal self. He’s just in time to barely deflect a powerful blast from Ayano’s Shinen, the Crimson Flame. Kazuma wants to one-shot Pandemonium, but Ayano reminds him that Nanase and Yukari are still inside.
Well, there may be hope for this series to end on a not-so-low note. This was a decent episode, where Kazuma finally came to his senses and told Ayano he was going to rock her senseless. I find it a bit awkward how Kazuma works his game in front of Ren, but Ren will probably have some serious mojo when he gets older. It would have been better if Ayano wasn’t so clueless, but I’m glad we are done with emo-Kazuma.
Meanwhile it looks like Vernhardt is gathering his power up for an epic battle. Pandemonium has spokes of power radiating like a star or something. I wonder what is going on within the castle, and if Utsumi turned into a Rampage reject and got absorbed. More importantly, how is Nanase going to feel once she turns back to normal?
