In Priscilla’s mind it’s Teresa doing everything, and Priscilla starts to regain a warped version of her memories. Clearly she took the fast horse, as she gets to town in under 5 minutes, and seeing the dead bodies of the villagers reminds her of when her dad (who turns into Teresa) ate her sister’s guts. This memory causes Priscilla to take her Awakened form, and Clare immediately recognizes the Yoki and chases after her.
Miria, Helen, and Deneve decide to follow Clare, but they get lost and Helen wants to stop at the nearest gas station to ask for directions. Fortunately, Galatea shows up to direct them to the volcano where Clare and Priscilla are staring each other down (while Isley watches from his front-row seat). Back at Pieta, the Clare fan club gathers, and Jean does her best Suigin Tou impression while convincing Lucky that he should help her save Clare.
Like the heat from the volcano, I can already feel the hot indignation of hater manga readers, as this was the first episode to majorly deviate from the manga. However, I think this is the right choice, and it’s a good idea to wrap up the series now, before any more details of Clare’s powers are revealed in the manga. You can always retcon down the line with an OVA or something. When you think about it, not that much has happened in the manga since Pieta, and who really wants to wait 2 years for a second season?
Moving on, this episode was pretty humorous. I was laughing when all the Claymores were cheering Clare’s victory while forgetting that she was about to awaken. However, even this moment could not match up to Priscilla imagining Teresa as the new El Niño and blaming her for all the world’s problems. I wonder if Bambi-Clare will have to rely on teamwork or standard shounen power-ups to defeat Priscilla, but I expect we should get a nice 1.5 episodes of gutsy action, and then half an episode of wrap-up to end the season.

I hope Raki dies a horrible death. So freaking emo during the episode. BOOHOO I am a total wuss..let’s take up 2 min of episode time so people can watch me cry.
doh, they’re going anime original at this point. While I’m all for a Clare VS Priscilla showdown, it wasn’t meant to be that early! I just hope they can end the series decently so once more manga material is out, it can be continued…

Haha, I wonder how the heck he is going to get to the volcano in time to even catch the big fight. He and Jean don’t exactly look like a couple of speedsters at the moment.
Was Galatea going to watch the fight? She kept Clare from going loco once before (the fight against Duff) with her telepathic? telekinetic? yoki control.
Anyway, if Clare completes her transformation and kills Priscilla, then she’s no better than Priscilla.
I just realized that this battle is going to play out like the end of Star Wars Episode 3.
Yeah Priscilla can fly, but magma + higher ground = INSTA-WIN.
Heh I think Clare will do a standered Shonen powerup and beat Priscilla.
