After a dream where Saito flies back to Akihabara and then tries to get back to Louise, Louise tells Saito that he will be treated as a human being if he only has eyes for her. However, she doesn’t trust him, and so he gets fitted with a Gothloli Mask that detects when he is ogling other girls. Obviously this means that Saito gets beat on for the rest of the episode, but he kinda deserves it.
Meanwhile, Henrietta has to accept the title of Queen, and during her coronation ceremony a misunderstanding causes Saito to be arrested by Agnes Chevalier de Milan, the Captain of the Firearms Troops (woot, keep teching up, guys). The recent assassination of Cromwell leads Henrietta to believe that there are spies in the castle, and she asks Saito and Louise to be her secret strike team, code-named Zero, in her preemptive strike against Albion. Then the next day, Henrietta is promptly kidnapped.
While silly, this episode was entertaining. The OP was ok, although the one WTF-dancing sequence garnered extra points. The ED was omega kawaii. I didn’t feel as bad about Saito getting beat up in this episode, because he was a real jerk staring at every girl, even after Louise started treating him nicely and opening up to him. Every scene basically involved him going from the face to the boobs, and it’s little wonder that Louise is sensitive about this. Then again, looking at Louise’s sisters, maybe she should just be a little more patient. To be fair, Saito did try to mix it up and go low a few times too, but the mask located his stolen eyes every time.
As much fanservice as there was, the writers did a good job of laying a little bit of plot groundwork, as the mysterious Furomoru one-shotted last season’s mastermind with the recovered Ring of Andvari. However, the plot was then quickly pushed away for some more fanservice. Now looking is one thing, but I really lost some respect for Saito when he tried to make out and fondle Henrietta in the dungeon. After how much Louise did for him (lol, btw this sequence was so wrong, and I found out I am not the only one who noticed it), it was pretty messed up that he would go after Henrietta, considering he barely knows her. Naturally, Louise makes him pay.
