Nice mixer of fanservice and action. The first half contains beach-episode goodness featuring Yoko’s jealousy of Nia, and the second half is pure aquatic pyrotechnics. A few points:
1. Like the Spiral King, it’s apparent that Nia is no ordinary human. Is she just 1337, or has she had some genetic modifications performed on her?
2. Why is it that all the men have swimming trunks? Especially Simon – he’s been living in a hole for his entire life!
3. Isn’t Yoko already wearing a bikini?
4. Viral is quickly becoming Gurren-Lagann’s “Team Rocket”. Now he just needs a goofy sidekick and mascot animal. How the heck does he always survive?
5. I’m still not sure why Adiane’s scorpion army is associated with seafaring superiority. Scorpions can’t swim, can they?
6. Hair-cutting seems to be on the rise as a great bonding activity. FMP’s haircutting episode made it seem romantic, somehow.
