Pikachu, I Blame You!

If nothing else, Sea Slugs! Anime Blog always seeks to assign blame somewhere, somehow. And since Episode 8 of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann made me cry manly tears of sadness, I want to blame someone.

Who is to blame for what happened in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann episode 8?

  • The furries (58%, 134 Votes)
  • Simon (20%, 47 Votes)
  • Yoko (15%, 34 Votes)
  • Kamina (7%, 16 Votes)

Total Voters: 231

First off there is Kamina himself. I don’t know what he was thinking taking a break right in the middle of battle. Then there’s Simon, who should have gotten a loli for himself, instead of slowing everyone down. Pick on someone your own size, Simon! And of course there is the always popular choice of blaming the woman. Finally, for those of you who think it was just a sad tragedy, at least blame the beastmen.

Of course if I missed someone else in this blame game, please let me know in the comments!

About Kabitzin:
One of the founders of Sea Slugs, I handle most of the blog admin tasks while wearing my I AM BOSS shirt. I like my action series well-choreographed, and my romance series extra trashy. I also have a soft spot for puns.

It’s nice to know that you’ve also watch this series. Can’t wait to see the next episode to see how everyone cope with the event that happen.

I hope Simon is filled with tremendous angst. Personally, I blame Simon, since that plan would have worked, and they would have been off the ship already if he hadn’t been screwing around.

I also want to know who will be piloting the Gurren now.

    Kabitzin my comrade,

I hope this had nothing to do with Surge’s Raichu getting throttled by Pikachu’s superior use of “AGILITY” in the Pokemon TV series. :p

If by “agility” you mean “cheating,” then yes, it does. SEE FOR YOURSELF!!!

Also, Chris’ comment helps shed more light on why quite a few people are voting for Yoko…

Despite not having watched Gurren lagan thanks to my shitty net plan, what I do know is FURRIES are to be blamed for everything.

Wait a minute, they are the reason I had this shitty net connection to start with. Goddamn Furries.

Also Kabitzin, its okay, I used a Graveller (The Real Man’s way) to slam my way into getting the Lightning Badge.

Clearly Yoko adversely affected his Purity of Essence. To quote a famous general:

“Well, I, uh… I… I… first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love. Yes, a uh, a profound sense of fatigue… a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I… I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence. I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women uh… women sense my power and they seek the life essence. I, uh… I do not avoid women, Mandrake. But I… I do deny them my essence.”

    Why, Yoko? WHY?
