From ANN:
The latest issue of Newtype Romance, confirms long standing rumors that a new season of Code Geass: Lelouche of the Rebellion will be released in Japan. Although rumored to be due for the fall 2007 season, Newtype Romance makes no mention of when the new season will be released. Source: Anime Online.
While perhaps not so surprising, it’s great to hear this confirmed. So far Code Geass has been one of the few bright spots for me in a string of extremely disappointing anime months (as seen from the lack of posts lately). I love how the show manages to stay silly enough to avoid sinking into a pit of emo-hell, and the cliff-hangers still get me excited. Seems like more fanservice has been making its way in lately, but it has sorta been in the context of the plot. I’m hopeful that the series will continue to maintain uber production values and strong storyline.
I’m kinda surprised that Suzaku hasn’t added a bazillion enhancements to his Lancelot yet, but I get the feeling it will be getting geared up in the near future.

Code Geass is definately one of the shows I’m following closely this season. I’ve had a habit of following all the big Sunrise shows lately (Gundam SEED, Mai HiME, etc), and this is just as entertaining. My weekly mecha fill as I like to think of it.
The only funny thing about your article is the fact that this was reported in ‘Newtype Romanace’… why romamace? Why wasn’t it in the normal Newtype? So weird!
