It is a good thing that two of the heavy shounen hitters returned to manga-material this month. Naruto’s return from filler hell was especially welcome, since thus far the manga has been outstanding, and the anime seems to have stopped sucking. Bleach is always fun for some constant battling action, but the manga hasn’t been that original as of late so I won’t get my hopes up. As for the rest… well, I haven’t been really enthused at many of the new shows that have been coming out, and I feel like I’m in a funk as far as series that I’m blogging.
Top Five This Month:
CODE Geass: LOLZ at Suzaku’s predictability. I also like to carry around a recording of C.C. telling me how great I am. Oh C.C. (if that is your real name), I bet you say that to all the guys!
Soukou no Strain: With Lavinia’s screen time thankfully cut way back, it’s time to focus on Ralph’s zealous crusade to punish all those who abused the Emilolis. No one over the age of 13 (except for easy, busty captains that can pilot a ship alone) will be spared.
Naruto: Shippuuden: Wow, spoilers. It’s going to be a looooooong time until we get to the phat Sasuke angst, but I felt my soul return as I watched the first 3 episodes of Naruto:Shippuuden.
Hana Yori Dango 2: Tsukushi maid, eh? Just cause it looks good on paper doesn’t mean it will really work out that way.
Bleach: The return of Rukia; I am ready for some ice beam action and awesome bear-thing artwork. The DBZ jokes about the first two enemies amused me. I also like how Ichigo has to don a mask to make the impossible possible.
Rising:
Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Still great artwork. If a story actually develops, I may bump this series up a few notches.
