On April 12th, fans of the legendary Gainax series Shin Seiki Evangelion (Neon Genesis Evangelion) will have the chance to “drink” the anime as well as watch it. Gainax, Movic and retail store Animate have announced that they will be selling special cases of Neon Genesis Evangelion soft drinks. The drinks can be purchased at Animate stores or from the EVA store on the Gainax website.
Ahhhhh, shameless Gainax merchandising at its best, although I was surprised that they didn’t announce any special beers. The pictures of the can labels don’t really look all that special, although I like that they had an LCL drink (so gross).

LCL… if it smells like blood, I wonder what it tastes like…. ewww
I didn’t know Maiden of Steel referred to blood in tins.
I think it would be cool if the drinks actually tasted anything like they are supposed to be. Some sort of lymph tasting LCL would be pretty good LOL.
