Lotti blows a fuse when Sara breaks formation for the 8th time, and Lotti starts babbling some madness about “whee, bang bang bang”. This roughly translates to “you lure the enemy so that I can steal the glory and one shot the targets.” However, Sara just isn’t a team player, and things get worse when Carrisford and Dickon mistake Sara’s sketch of EMLY’s newest outfit for abstract art and a space monster respectively. Still, Lotti won’t give up, and throws a party for the Space Squadron. Lavinia shows up in a provocative bunny suit to charm Sara, and Carrisford tries to bust a move by asking Sara to dance. Unfortunately, as he asks Sara who taught her, she gets depressed again as she thinks of her brother and dead friends.
The party is saved when some Tumors (who had been hiding in an open wound on the ship) decide to make their move. The Gambee routes are still blocked, and so the Strains have to investigate from outside the ship. Lavinia is unlucky enough to get separated and jumped by the Tumors, but Sara saves her and leads the Tumors away. With some sweet maneuvering, Lotti and Sara are able to use the “whee, bang bang bang” to defeat the Tumors. The party is able to continue after the battle, and Lotti and Sara shake hands in mutual respect.
Not too much important stuff happened this time, but there were some amusing bits. For instance, when Lotti was charging down the stairs in her battle suit, she totally reminded me of Megaman. I wonder if Carrisford is going to continue sweating Sara and if she will eventually return his affections. Wouldn’t that pretty much be the kiss of death? Now the question is if Carrisford or Lavinia will get it first.
Also interesting was how much food Melchisedec has in his lair and how Sara gossips like mad with EMLY. Speaking of EMLY, too bad Emily already has her name (spelled correctly) and the same dress. That Sara was able to somehow draw the same dress (sorta) either means that she has a Madlax-esque connection with Emily, or her drawing was so bad that it just happened to look like Emily’s dress to Carmichael.
