Can you believe it’s been 3 years now?! My goodness, I sure can’t! We’re still chugging along as usual, although with a few changes here and there. Personally, I know my writing style has begun to change as I discovered the secret of the mystery they call the “paragraph”. I used to just write one gigantic block of recap and one gigantic block of editorial. However, now I write two medium size blocks of recap and 2 smallish blocks of editorial. Wow! Seriously, it took me two years to master, but now I use it every episode as my super-special-sexy-ougi and I scream its name out when I type each post. NEIGHING DRAGON BURST PARAGRAPH!!!!!
Anyways, Happy New Year to everyone and thanks to all our readers who make this blog such a joy to run. I’m looking forward to another great year and plenty of anime/manga to enjoy and cheerfully poke fun at.

3 years?!? Woah that’s heaps. So i guess this is Happy New Years AND Happy Birthday
Happy New Year and it’s great to you see you still going strong!
A solid balanced anime blog diet needs Sea Slugs! Keep it up
Speaking of anime diets, do you guys envision the sea slugs (namako) as the edible sea cucumber type or the colourful ones? LOL
Congratulations and here’s to more good years!
Definitely the ugly edible ones.
How can something be edible and ugly at the same time?
Ah, nvm. Greetings, and all that jazz.
Happy new year to you too! ^_^
Happy Anniversary.
Narf.
Wow, congrats!! That’s three years of pun. XD
Oh, I remember the pre-WP seaslugteam, when there were very few anime blogs. And yes, I remember that bright orange motiff. Or was that Matthew… ^^;
Anyway, you guys are still awesome (although we are in dire need of Kungfucius sightings ;p).
Happy New Year!!!
Oh maaaaan, old Blogger days of SS!AB were the best! Well ok not really, but I remember it like the springtime of our youth. We ran some really ugly themes back then so it might have been us, but I think we had more of a fugly green color. As for Kungfucius, he’s been so busy with his PhD stuff that he hasn’t had too much time to post this year. Perhaps in 2007?
Ah bah!
When do you have to deal with what’s really important (anime) if not while you’re at the university?
You mean, at work????
(*happily slurps his morning coffee in his office*)
Congrats on reaching year three! Time just flies, doesn’t it?
Gratz on hitting the big 3!
Everytime we talk about evolving writing styles, I would remember Ender’s Robert Jordan entry and how he cast me into the siscon river forever. XD
Whoa, looks like I haven’t been forgotten in this part of the web :P
Since the series that I’ve been keeping track of have been bitten by the filler bug (Bleach, Naruto), readers would probably not be as interested. Although I heard from the grape vine that Naruto may be heading back to its manga roots in February, so I’ll keep an eye out and see whether this’ll be the case. I could go back and finish up the Yakitate series, but I figured someone else might have already finished posting about it by now. Ah well, if there REALLY is a demand for Yakitate (or Bleach and Naruto for that matter), I’ll set aside some time to catch up on those so Sea Slugs will be more comprehensive.
That just sounds mad painful… I wouldn’t bother, as those sort of things cause burnout. Next few arcs of Naruto should be AWESOME if they follow the manga.
Congrats on THREE YEARS!! I’m only six days late, but never late than never. My feelings about your blog still holds true - I seriously wouldn’t be blogging if it weren’t for you guys. The fact that your blog is always so darn entertaining inspires me to keep chugging along as well. Thank you..
wah wah, it’s 3 years already? Ara ara~. That is good stuff and I am still enjoying the blog from the time that i was not an animeblogger until I became one right now. Always nice to read and keep up the good work ya, because you guys are the veterans of youth (yes, irony for the win)!
Ah I missed this post. Grats guys. 3 years is a crapton of blogging. You are a champion. Keep on truckin’ because I believe you’ve got something special here.
So like… I started imagining Kabitzin talking to Kyon…
Kabitzin: “It all started three years ago…”
Kyon: “ARGH!”
Cheers.
Unfortunately, our story doesn’t involve a harem =(.
