Lost interest pretty quick though since I found it didn't make much sense. It was a good essay and got my Eva motor going. I watched Eva for the first time back in 2000 when I was 14 so I guess it was easy for me to relate with Shinji. Ha ha, I actually remember thinking "ohhh, today is the day the second impact is supposed to happen". Honestly though, for all the Shinji haters out there, how many of you would be all <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w9UX_ZxAmA" rel="nofollow">*GA GA GA, GA GA GA GAO GAI GAR* foot up the bad guy's ass</a> in his position? I mean, if I was in the same position now, being 20, I'd be all "<a href="http://www.punksandnerds.com/d/20051202.html" rel="nofollow">Hell yes I'll pilot your awesome, damn big robot</a>, <a href="http://www.punksandnerds.com/d/20051205.html" rel="nofollow">and I might as well wreck your ladies with multi-colored hair at the same time while I'm at it</a>", but most 14 year olds tend to be insecure emo-kids (I was I guess :/) so I find it's easy to understand why he's such a little bitch. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the remakes and I'm crossing my fingers for a girlfriend of steel scenario. I read a bit of Eva-R. So many memories... most of them horrible, but still. Anyone remember DJ Croft and Tom Dyron? This blog just inspired me to go look up the old Elmer Studios Evangelion self-insert MSTs and while they're not QUITE as the height of wit I thought they were in my youth they're still a riot. Unfortunately the same can't be said for all the fics I thought were wonderful, which all seem to have either dissappeared from the net forever or remain permanently unfinished. Ah well.
