Soukou no Strain 03

After a quickie scene of Medic Becky failing to save Sara in a drill, Sara is labeled as “Dead” and has to walk around in a blood-stained suit (yup, clothes ripped again). We meet Lotti’s admirer Carrisford and his lecherous toadie Dickon, and we also get to see Sara bring EMLY a frilly headband. Now EMLY just needs a cute goth-loli dress and she’ll be all set. Unfortunately, Sara’s Gambee gets haxxored by Isabella, and doesn’t work for the sub-light-speed exercise.

Wouldn’t you know it though, the drill turns into a real attack as Ralph Werec’s forces quickly destroy the two support ships. I suspect he is after EMLY, as Sara is able to pilot the refurbished Strain in the mechanic lot with EMLY’s help. As Lotti rushes to get beat up by Ralph, Sara takes her violet Ink Strain and launches into battle. At the same time, Isabella gets dragged off into space by Tumors and nobody cares.

Naturally there is an uber-powerful Strain just waiting to be piloted! The fact that it is an Ink Stain Strain makes it that much better. Can’t wait to find out what’s up with EMLY, but I suspect that Emily and EMLY have something to do with perhaps being super or universal MIMICs.

It was totally sweet that the Ink Strain comes with a baby’s car seat, and it’s even faced away from the windshield. Can you get one of those Baby on Board signs to put on the Strain too? That or a suction cup Garfield plushie. Oh yeah, and the OP and ED reminds me of several old school RPGs.
