Time for some more random ravings!
1. Though I think Kirche contributes more to the the romantic tension, Siesta is thus far my favorite lass in Zero no Tsukaima. Not for any deep reason – as a character she’s kind of boring. I just really like her name! As most of you know, it means “midday nap” in Spanish, and that happens to be one of my favorite things. Such a name projects a sense of peace, relaxation, and laziness, resulting in my natural graviation towards this character. On another note, I think the opening song is so generic, it should be featured in an episode of NHK.
2. Soooo, I finally got around to watching Innocent Venus, and I’d have to say that in the very sparse genre of badasses- protecting- pink-haired- girl-in- sci-fi-setting, it definitely trumps the rather lackluster Coyote Ragtime Show. At first I was surprised that Matthew was blogging both shows, but then it started to make sense. After all, as long as there is a smidgen of kawaii in the show, Matthew will be there. Covering the action 24/7. Your trusted local news source. Matthew’s Anime Blog.
3. Is it just me or is Hakuoro the only human in Utawarerumono? I’m assuming that all the scrub soldiers have their ears covered up by their helmets. Speaking of the Hakster, what does he call a bikini wax? A Rak Shine. Have a nice day.
