Heya everyone, thanks to all of you who comment and visit Sea Slugs! and grace us with your insightful opinions! So anyway, as per the results of the last poll (thanks to everyone who voted for the 4k theme), I finally finished a piece of Ouran Host Club fanart.
Like so many things, it was originally going to be soooo much more ambitious and awesome, but then I got lazy and I didn’t want to let the project go too long. Other ideas that I was batting around included:
- Hikaru and Kaoru as Archer and Lancer, with some sort of Gae Bolg joke slipped in, of course
- Mori as Berserker, carrying Honey (as Ilya) on his shoulder
- Kyoya as Sōichirō… so unoriginal, I know
- Umehito (that Beelzenef cat puppet guy) as Caster *snicker*
I couldn’t think of anything for Renge. Of course that’s all moot, cause I was pooped out after just Haruhi and Tamaki. I wanted to depict what the Ouran Host Club would cosplay as if it was actually cruddy weather (i.e. thunderstorm) instead of a perfect day as it seems to always be on campus. Most people seemed to want cosplay, and ChibiNoName mentioned blindfolding/S&M, so that’s where it all came from. Naturally, it all got twisted up and mutated in the creative process, so whether or not anyone else finds this piece amusing is kinda up in the air.

Wow, I almost forgot about voting for that. It was like a million years ago! Anyway, I’m saving it to my random desktop wallpaper program profile right now. It should see rotation soon.
BTW, ChibiNoName == j.valdez…not that anyone cares of course.

Nice job, Kabitzin! I always love peeking at your beautiful drawings. It looks like they’re having fun, or at least Tamaki is.
I thought Haruhi would be Saber, so in the end Gilgamesh (Tamaki) would get her XDD
That’s funny Lenners, I thought Haruhi would be Shirou (delicious flat chest works in that favor) and Tamaki would be Saber (say what you will, the man can crossdress). But still awesome pic , and oh lawd, I just bet Tamaki would like to ride her.
