As Benawi holds the defenses together, Hakuoro leads his strike team against the Shikeripetim palace. The odds look bad, but Benawi is pleased that their plan to lure the entire Shikeripetim army out seems to have been successful. With Touka leading the infiltration charge, Hakuoro is able to move into the palace very quickly. Of course there are a few minor obstacles along the way, namely a bunch of funny zombies (taken from the best men of the countries that Yue has conquered), and the three captains from before. However, Karura knows the answer to both questions, allowing two of the captains to stab her in the arm so she can cut the third captain into two. After that, it’s a simple matter of dismembering the remaining captains and dicing the zombies up into small cubes.
At this point, it’s time for some emperor x emperor, and Yue reveals his dastardly scheme to piss Hakuoro off. In addition to Yamayura’s destruction, the death of Orikakan, the attack on Tusukuru, and that annoying laugh, Yue has set his entire capitol city on fire, so that Hakuoro will be blamed for burning civilians. Touka lends Hakuoro her sword, and Hakuoro and Yue go to duel in a private room. There, Yue is no match for Hakuoro’s pimp hand of death, and loses some fingers. Finally, Hakuoro goes full foxy Xenomorph, and rips Yue to shreds, while the white-haired angel guy watches from the shadows.
You know, it takes a hell of a lot to piss Hakuoro off, but when he goes Alien on you, it’s bad times all around. Needless to say, Yue got what he deserved, but perhaps Hakuoro should have sent in some assassins a little earlier in the campaign (like the herapetta merchant). Anyway, hopefully the Yue arc is done, as he was one seriously sick puppy. I can’t believe he even burned his own capitol just to make Hakuoro look bad!
It was pretty awesome how Touka slashed the one soldier and then knifed the other without breaking stride. Seriously, being a scrub in this series sucks, as only two made it out of the entire infiltration campaign. As usual, Karura completely dominated, and seemed to show a very impressive tolerance of pain, and also a very fast blood clotting ability.
