Wootastic, the summer schedule is up! Aside from the sequel to Honey & Clover, I’m not anticipating too much, but a lot of the shows look to at least be a fun watch. Like Tsuyokisu and Zero no Tsukaima. It’s hard to come up with accurate predictions just from a few images on a website, but I always try. As usual, I’ll probably have to watch them all before deciding which series to follow.
- FLAG: This doesn’t look like my cup of tea, with the realistic art, and very CG mechs.
- Honey & Clover II: Oh man, I’m expecting really big things from this one. I know he’s important, but enough of boring Takemoto! I need me some painful Mayama-Ayumi-Rika dorama!
- Binbou Shimai Monogatari: Poor sisters living along and delivering newspapers… sounds kinda boring-slice-of-life mixed in with depression.
- Demashita! PowerPuff Girls Z: *pukes in mouth* I can forgive having an exclamation mark in the title, of course, but also adding a “Z” to the end is too much.
- Otogi Jushi Akazukin: OMG, this looks too cute, and it’s just my type, RPG! Duran, load chibi cartridge! The easygoing 3 OAV commitment helps, too.
- Mamotte! Lollipop: Looks like typical shoujo romance fare. There aren’t that many details up so far.
- Tsuyokisu: Haha, this has the potential to be a fun watch or just really bad. I wonder if “Cool x Sweet” is like “Gun x Sword”, but you know I’ll watch it just cause that schoolgirl has a katana! This series is apparently based on a PS2 game, and the site declares that it is “Tsundere TVanimation”.
- Taiyo no Mokushiroku Special – Nihon Bundan: Another realistic, depressing series. I’ll pass.
- Kemonozume Sakaba: Not much information up, but the lone image screams Blood+Witchblade.
- Chevalier Special: Hot noblewoman by day, badass swashbuckler by night.
- Project BLUE Chikyuu SOS: Looks like there will be some large scale galactic battles, which usually aren’t my thing. Production values look high.
- Bokura ga Ita: I like that the art reminds me of Honey & Clover.
- Zero no Tsukaima: This one seems like it will be chock full of witchy harem action. Whether it is good-stupid like Magikano or bad-stupid like most harem shows remains to be seen. I like the art, though, since it feels like what Negima would be like if Evangeline were the main character.
- Koi Suru Tenshi Angelique ~Kokoro Mezameru Toki~: I think I saw this before, only when I watched it, it was called “Fushigi Yuugi”.
- Tonagura!: I’m sure some people will enjoy this series, but it looks a little too dumb and cliche for my tastes.
- Chokotto Sister: This art looks poor. I give it 5 episodes before you can’t even tell what you’re looking at.
- Innocent Venus: Innocent until proven guilty anyway. Some of it looks a bit generic, but a mysterious show with good production values could make this like a slick Big-O.
- N・H・K ni Youkoso: I like the art, but the idea of broadcasting super moe anime to turn everyone hikikomori tickles my fancy! Damn those evil corporate bastards!
- Coyote Ragtime Show: Looks like another in the line of Cowboy Bebop-Trigun-Gun x Sword types. At the very least, it will probably look good.
- Night Head Genesis: This series will probably be really creepy. The website is ultra-slick.
- Gundam SEED C.E.73 -STARGAZER-: I feel like I finally got out of a bad relationship, but then the phone just rang asking for a booty call. Do I answer? And how many episodes until Kira comes back and takes over the main character position? I’m eager to see what mask designs they bust out this time.
- Muteki Kanbanmusume: The first thing that pops into my head is that the production values will fade quickly. Chopsticks as weapons would be pretty cool, though.
- Masuda Kosuke Gekijo Gag Manga Biyori 2nd set: Supah fugly!
- Naikaku Kenryoku Hanzai Kyousei Torishimarikan Zaizen Jotaro: The long title is clearly compensating.

Honey & Clover II, y~~~aaaay! I was so in love with the first season and hopefully the second season will be just as good. Did you say slice of life? I’m all over it! I’m looking forward to Binbou Shimai Monogatari because I actually enjoy slow shows with not much going on. I’ll also be on the lookout for Bokura ga Ita because well, it’s shoujo and romance. Can’t fail.. ^^
I THINK that you may have it the wrong way round for Chevalier; from what I know of the REAL Chevalier d’Eon, it was a bloke dressing up as a woman…

Man, that Night Head Genesis site was pretty snazzy.
I will most certainly be watching all those boring slice of life shows that you are passing up on. And then, I will continually pester you to watch them.
Somehow Night Head’s Site Intro reminded me of Senekis from Ergo Proxy.
But the anime itself looks incredible. Ought to be a really good, creepy show.
I cant even keep up with the spring season and now everyone is talking about summer already. Somone save me. T_T
Out of all those, I am only looking out for Coyote Ragtime Show. ufotable is making it, and they have made a strong impression on me from Futakoi Alternative. Can they repeat their success again? I hope so.
Aside from Honey&Clover and GS:Sg, the rest are mostly unknown to me, so I will be dependant on previews and reviews to make my decisions.

and chokotto sisters isn’t going to be bad because of the art or production values … it’s the extreme loli pedo vibes it gives off O_o;;

that aside Tsuyokisu looks like it might turn out like magikano … altho gotta agree it has a pretty good potential to just turn out ot be soemthing idiotic O_o

Oh My GOD… another SEED? I know I can’t watch it cause it will surely suck, but can I resist my weekly dose of giant robots? When I saw the preview for this on torrent, I thought it was just some video game preview but if it’s a real show….
I’m putting quite some hopes in Tsuyokisu. If it’s able to come just close to the game, it will be a very enjoyable school comedy.

H&C II and NHK seem promising. Love NHK the manga – dark, dark, dark story – hopefully they do not change it too much else I would be disappointed.
liked the art in Chokotto manga but this does not seem to match it.
And like Bokura ga Ita reminds you of H&C, Binbou Shimai Monogatari visually seems similar to Kamichu (which was also slice of life-ish). Too lazy to look up if the same studio did both. Anyway, both are therefore worth a look.
actually for Binbou Shimai Monogatari I’d draw more comparisons to more serious yotsubato! with yuri undertones and it kidna edges on incest O_O;;

Apparantly you don’t really know what Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer is, so here’s some info:
Stargazer is a 3-part sidestory to Gundam SEED: Destiny that will air online only.
No one in the original cast (Kira, Lacus, Shinn, Athrun, Cagalli, etc.) will appear during this anime.
The team working on this anime is entirely different from the Gundam SEED/Destiny crew.
The 3 episodes will air from 14 July to 8 September – with a DVD being released on 24th of November.
So yes, it might actually become something quite nice & interesting.
In the recently released promo, the character design looked a lot better than SEED’s – and the atmosphere seemed a lot more mature (no flashy colours all over the place, but more of a grim warlike feeling) – ofcourse you can’t tell much from a 1:20 minute promo, so it might still suck…
As for the continuation of the series.
A Gundam SEED movie is currently being worked on by Fukuda and his henchmen.
That’ll likely/hopefuly be the end of it.
