Real is very interested in Vincent, and examines his room. She doesn’t find anything at first, but out drops a paper with predicted escape routes that infected Autoreivs might take. By following the map, she is able to find the remains of the lab Proxy. Real thinks she can trust Daedalus, but is disappointed when she realized Daedulus already knew about the “invincible Amrita cyborg”. Real’s not having a good week, as she’s now unable to trust Iggy or Daedalus.
Meanwhile Vincent wakes up to find that he is in Darkshore. Pino saved him, as did a man named Hude. Vincent is lucky, because 80% usually die after being infected by whatever Vincent was infected by. By this point, it’s clear that Vincent is no normal dude, especially with that strange vision he had of killing the lab Proxy. Later, as Vincent is getting to know trash-diver Queen, a Techibi search robot spots Pino, and Vincent has to take it down. However, the downed bot sends back images to Raul, and Raul thinks that Vincent can provide him with the answers he seeks.
Please tell me that Hude wasn’t actually trying to say George Bush, and that Joe Bush is completely unrelated. Anyway, this was another great mysterious episode, as the question of Vincent’s identity grows deeper. He keeps giving these sly little smiles every time he takes someone out… what is his connection to the other Proxy? Hude refers to Masked Proxy as the product of the hatred of the land. Just who is Vincent really?
I was really amused to see Real as putty in her prince’s hands. The whole longtime-friends really matured into a completely appropriate doctor-patient relationship. Too bad he’s covering up for her gramps, and she packs a sawed off shotgun.
Ergo Proxy 04
