While Bel Peol beats the crap out of Wilhelmina (apparently pirates > meido), Marjorie and Sydonai have a furry DBZ battle above the city. Shana makes it down to Hecate, but Hecate’s lust creates an unbreakable shield of awkwardness. However, Yuuji aids Shana’s cause by attacking Hecate psychologically; he tells Hecate that she can’t fill up on his memories to make herself a full person. Then he calls Hecate a slut and tells her he’s taking her on the Jerry Springer show. Hecate is so stunned that Shana is able to break through the shield and free Yuuji from his Magic Chocolate Shell.
The only problem is that when Hecate goes out of control, her PoE threatens to destroy the city. The only way to leech off the excess PoE is to use a highly endothermic reaction, such as the Tempa Jyosai used to summon Alastor. The one bad part about this plan is that Alastor is so mojotastic that Shana will probably die like PESnU. Faced with destruction, Shana confesses her love, and Yuuji tells her they will go through it together. The plan goes without a hitch, and through the power of deus ex machina, Shana and Yuuji both survive.
In spite of my misgivings, Shakugan no Shana managed to deliver a flawless final episode, with a little something for everyone. Sure some questions were left unanswered (How can Tanaka play Ogata like that? Why doesn’t Marjorie hamstring Sydonai? Why does no one want to equip Blutsauger?), but I liked the way everyone came away with at least a consolation prize. With Ike getting in position for the rebound, Kazumi calling best 2 out of three, Alastor giving a cringe-worthy speech of how Shana was able to handle his entire existence due to her capacity, it was a great happy ending for everyone. Hell, not even the villains died in this episode. With such a tidy wrap up, I’m willing to overlook the fact that no one wants to get the anti-flame ring that is powerful enough to withstand Tempa Jyosai.
Shakugan no Shana 24 (Final)

Too bad Hecate is going to need some counseling.
