Like a reality show contestant, Shinji tries to get an alliance with Shirou. The Matou family has lost its magical mojo but still has the knowledge, whereas Shirou has the mojo but no clue. The byproduct of this is that there must be another Master at school, since Shinji cannot be sensed (as he is magically impotent). Anyway, Shirou turns down the alliance offer and Shinji decides that he will just sit on the sidelines for now, since he sucks about as bad as Shirou. Back to LFG, Shinji!
Before letting Shirou go, Shinji tells him about a witch atop the Ryuudouji temple on the mountain where Issei lives. It seems there are actually two Servants, Caster and Assassin. Issei mentions to Shinji that a hot chick has taken up residence with his family and their 50 monk friends. Meanwhile, Rin decides to live with Shirou, and Sakura and Taiga don’t take the news well. At the same time, Saber wants to go kick some ass at the temple, but Shirou wants her to hold off for a few more episodes. Saber is tired of not getting screen time, however, and scampers into Assassin’s trap as everyone is asleep.
Another intriguing if slow episode, as Shinji gets turned down again and another alliance is revealed. Speaking of provocative, what is up with that position that Rider is always in… I wonder what she was in a previous life. I can’t believe that Shirou would use a command mark just to keep Saber out of his bed, but even crazier was when Rin said that you don’t have to treat Servants as people, as this insinuates that poor Archer doesn’t get to sleep in her bed T__T.
I’m totally ready for Rin and Sakura to just have a catfight over the apron. Also can’t wait to see Archer and Saber try to team up to gank Berserker. I was amused that Masters summon similar Servants, as this implies that Saber is probably kinda stupid.
