You betcha it’s time to go back to the future, and it’s shown how everyone is wallowing in the lovesick yearnings of the springtime of their youth. Thus we return to the epic tale of love and food. While Ogata tries to catch Tanaka’s eye, Kazumi and Shana wage a cold war for Yuuji. That’s not all, however, as Ike is now working towards attracting Kazumi, and Marjorie is seriously teasing a feverish Satou. Sometimes love isn’t as easy as mere twincest.
With the Misago (”Osprey”) Festival approaching, several parties move into action. Kazumi asks Yuuji out, but gets sidetracked when new Flame Haze Ritually-Dressed Chaser, Khamsin, and his master Absolute Pinacle Behemoth arrives to do some tuning. With all the Torches around, he can’t get a WiFi signal, and so he enlists her help (since neither she, nor anyone in her family is a Torch, and she has grown up in this town). All Kazumi can think about, however, is if Yuuji is a Torch. Marjorie visits Shana to discuss this new Flame Haze, and reveals that Sydonai has returned to Balle Masque (an army of Tomogara) with news about the Reiji Meigo, so now Shana and Yuuji will have to get out of town.
Yup, PirateGirl Bel-Peol, Sydonai, and bratty little Hecate have teamed up with someone with a flamboyant voice to try to get the Reiji Meigo. They have a plan to make Hecate immortal… Oh yeah, Wilhelmina is back, and wandering through the desert with that huge knapsack of hers.
This episode had a whole lotta plot shoved into it. I enjoyed that the story was moving along, but we just finished embedded flashbacks, and I was struggling to get back into the flow. I need someone like Chigusa to help me out. I felt bad for Kazumi, but at least Ike’s waiting to grab the rebound. I think that Ogata has her eye on Tanaka (it was hard to tell with Satou around all the time), and Satou is lusting after Marjorie. They even want to become gypsies with her, how cute! Speaking of Marjorie, she needs more screentime where she teases guys, freeloads, and then falls asleep in a drunken stupor!
Oh yeah, eyecatch was great this time, too. This series has some really great eyecatches. New OP was ok.

Maybe he is planning to assist Shana in blocking Kazumi’s long range luvu luvu attempt.
I was wondering how much Kazumi will change Khamsin since Shana and Majorie seem to have been quite affected by Yuuji and Satou + Tanaka respectively. At this point, I’m still looking forward to plenty more jealousy from Shana over Kazumi’s attempts to “steal” Yuuji from her.
