   I was just thinking, episode 17 of Mai Otome reminded me of the crappy show last year called Gundam Seed… something Destiny..

   Hey Kabitzin and Kurogane, what’s with this sudden outburst of Otome bashing? ^_^

   I love both shows, but storywise the multilayered complex Otome tops the fairly straightforward Shana easily. And I don’t even get the TMNT joke at all.

   Can someone enlighten me?

   Nina’s element is the paired sai which is the same as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s Raphael who was the hotheaded dude of the group and is described in the lyrics of the OP as “cool but rude”.

   I always liked Master Splinter the most though.

   Hey, I’m not bashing Mai Otome (or TMNT)! I just thought that Nina vs. Arika was somewhat similar to Raphael vs. Donatello.

   Midori leads, Arika does machines…
