Shinku fights on against Suigin Tou and quickly gets the upper hand. Suigin Tou doesn’t want to drain Megu’s energy, and this leaves her open. Naturally, sneaky Bara Suishou creeps up behind Suigin Tou and mows her down; Suigin Tou, however, shields Shinku because she doesn’t want Bara Suishou stealing her kill. For some reason, Bara Suishou only gets Sousei Seki’s Roza Mystica (which reveals that Sousei Seki had the hots for Suisei Seki… twincest!), while Shinku gets Suigin Tou’s Roza Mystica and learns about Megu and also about Bara Suishou’s trickery. Greatly angered that she didn’t get to watch the twincest flashback, Shinku lays the smackdown on Bara Suishou.
In a really cool sequence, Bara Suishou begins using the powers of the defeated sisters, but Shinku has also played Megaman, and fights back. In the end, Shinku comes out on top, but when Jun intervenes, Bara Suishou uses a hair decoration to stab Shinku and capture all of Shinku’s Roza Mysticas. Here comes the twist: it seems that Enju was simply Rozen’s apprentice, and he created Bara Suishou to show that his dolls were superior to Rozen’s.
However, at the last moment, Bara begins to develop fissures as she is unable to contain all the Roza Mysticas. She crumbles to pieces in Enju’s arms, and they disappear in a bright light. It seems that everyone was manipulated by LaPlace. However, the blinding vision of Rozen appears, fixes everyone but Hina Ichigo and Sousei Seki, and tells Shinku that he’s working on getting them a third season. Perhaps there is a different way to become Alice? With that said, the dolls return to their various mediums, and Shinku and Jun go back home in time to catch the start of Detective Kun-kun.
Talk about a cliffhanger ending! I feel like this second series really raised more questions than it answered, and really there just has to be a third season. That bizarre scene with LaPlace and the real Bara Suishou (and her creepy eye-rose) celebrating was just too weird. I really enjoyed the episode, but I can’t help feeling a bit unsatiated.
